We generally enjoyed our two day stay here. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet, clean and very conveniently located to the train into Vienna's center (about 25 minutes away). Most of the staff were exceedingly helpful and willing to accommodate special requests. One guy who manned the reception overnight was pretty rude, disinterested and I believe intentionally misled me about the poor wifi infrastructure suggesting that we wait while he reset the modem. This hotel would be perfect if it had the kind of internet service that most hotels do. At times, the internet was nonexistent, and based on my discussions with the staff, it's a chronic problem that the staff waste a lot of time addressing with complaints from guests. Unhappy guests create unhappy employees which results in unnecessary waste. This is an issue which needs to be addressed. I also asked to borrow an iron. I was directed to an ironing closet next to the reception which looked like the basement of a pool hall in Brooklyn. Investing in a functional wireless infrastructure and ten irons or so that can be delivered to guests in their room would make this an excellent hotel for business or pleasure in Vienna. If you need reliable, functional wifi service to communicate, research and learn about Vienna, find good places to eat, then this is NOT the place for you.
