“Perfect for the price”

Clean, functional room. Everything worked, including the free wifi internet. Our room is very quiet (facing inner courtyard), and the location is very convenient, close to public transportation. I do wish there was a kettle and coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Room Tip: The inner courtyard is very quiet!

airconditioning needed during warm weather. Being able to open a window beyond a crack would have helped. Breakfasts overpriced and don't be late or you fin d your choice reduced due to no refills e.g bread or cereals

I agree with the other reviewers. Good location, clean spacious rooms at a good price. 2 great restaurants close by Novaks which is traditional Austrian. And Mini which is Austrian/Hungarian with a twist.

Location: The hotel is located in a convenient location where we saved money by buying snacks and sandwiches from the Billa market one block away, and the U3 train line was two blocks away and a very convenient line to go sight seeing. For the people who mentioned that the office manager is unfriendly, I would have to agree and laugh. I am 5 months pregnant and asked if we could get our room sooner as I needed a rest, and she was not very accommodating. I think it's just different service standards.

Amenities : There is no kettle or iron in the room but the room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable but the pillows were too soft. There is no AC but the temperature was about 15-19C so we were comfortable with the windows open during the day. Our room faced the inner courtyard room506, I recommend this room as it was quiet and far enough away from the elevator. There is a hair dryer, soap and shampoo provided and I like they had a safe in the room. We didn't bring a power adaptor so we were forced to charge our North American electronics one by one in the bathroom which had an universal plug.

Food: We did not eat at the restaurant but there are cafes up the street where you can get a Viennese breakfast from 9-12 Euros. If you don't mind vegetarian I would recommend going to Xu's Cooking a Vegetarian Chinese restaurant that serves a lunch buffet for $6.90 Euro. There is also a Pho Vietnamese Noodle Place down the street that is cheap as well.

Tips: Bills include tip and tax, so you don't need to give 10-20% as is typical in North America but round your bill up to the next dollar amount (ie. 8.10Euro, give 9 Euro) or leave 1-2 Euro or more for tips if you are happy. Make sure you have change as public washrooms at the mall, train stations and tourist areas are pay per use at 0.50Euros, and most restaurants charge for tap water so you might as well order a drink.

Enjoy the hotel and Vienna!

Room Tip: Room 506 was great, faced the quiet inner courtyard and far from the elevator.

Our hotel room is spacious and the bathroom is big . Great location , walking distance to shopping areas and restaurants. Though all rooms doesnt have aircondition which was quite surprising, hopefully it will not be that hot during summer. The TV is so old model. The assistant front office manager is not so friendly and the receptionist looks so inexperience. The night shift staff ( Aamir ) is so helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Not an ideal hotel during summer as there are no A/C's in the rooms

I'm almost afraid to review this hotel because then more people will know about it. We booked it based on price alone, so I wasn't expecting much, thinking I'd only be sleeping a few hours there each day and otherwise, be out exploring.  I loved everything about it. Location, very modern, clean and has water pressure in the shower that would strip paint off of a wall!

Our room was right next to the elevator, which is usually the kiss of death with any hotel room I've had but I didn't hear the elevator at all.

Note that if you are going to be sleeping during the day, the housekeeping staff can be a little jovial during the day out in the hallway, and the noise from their phone ringing in the hall may disturb you.

I also noted that there were signs in the hallways advising customers to place valuables in the in-room safe. I don't know if this is a result of breakins or not. It did raise a bit of a red flag but since I usually store my valuables in the safe anyway - I wasn't too worried. I did notice though that there are times where the front desk is empty and given the set up of the hotel, it could be possible for someone with questionable motives to sneak into the hotel and up the stairs without being seen.

Staff had that Austrian efficiency without being anything close to being friendly - down to an art. This and the possibility of break-ins is the only reason I didn't give this hotel an excellent rating.

The hotel is very nice and very clean, except for the entrance area and lobby. The beds are very comfortable and room is cozy. The hotel is some 300 m far from the nearest metro station /Webgasse/ and not too far from the Wien westbahnhoff trainstation. The only - was we didn't receive our key card for the room and if it was for more than a night-stay it would be rather embarrasing. Anyway the receptionist was so polite and came several times with us to open our room. We didn't eat there, so I can't tell nothing on that topic.
