I chose this hotel based on price, location and Tripadviser reviews. The one thing I missed was that the hotel does not have air conditioning.
There are a few pros for this hotel:
Location, it's a couple of minutes from the Zieglergasse U3 station. This makes getting from and to the airport very easy as the City Airport train stops at Landstrasse which is on U3. Stephansplatz is also on line 3. Cleanliness and staff; the room was always spotless and the staff very helpful and polite. The hotel is also competitively priced. Another useful point is that checkout is 12 o'clock. Useful as there seems to be a complete lack of left luggage facilities at the main stations. This allowed me to go out on my last day and change before leaving for the airport. The other big plus for the hotel is that it seems to attract quiet guests.
Unfortunately there is a major problem and that is no air con. The hotel provides a fan but this is too noisy to run at night and the road noise is very loud if you keep the window open. I do not know if the lack of air con is a Vienna wide issue but there were very few shops and restaurants that advertised air con.
The big questions are always would I stay there again and would I recommend the hotel. The answers are yes and yes but not at the height of summer. Although if you cannot find a hotel with air con then you could do a lot worse than stay here.
