Loved this museum and strongly recommend it to get a basic understanding of Austria’s rich history in art and formation of Sucession. What I loved about it was how well written the explanations were and how the museum was not overwhelming in what it has on show. Great looking at furniture as art work as well - interior design is a personal passion - so if you’re like me you’ll enjoy not just the paintings but the beautifully designed chairs, bookcases and explanations on offer.

The paintings of gustav Klimt are known throughout the world however seeing them displayed is even more awesome. The Museum is placed in an impressive building and the audio tour is great. Really recommendable...

Layed out over 4 floors we found the top two floors the most interesting as these included more modern art and design

Just is just hands down a wonderful place. If you like art from the Belle Epoch through the post WWI Expressionists, this is your museum. Start on the 4th floor and work your way down. The Wiener Werkstätte rooms with glass wear, jewelry and designs, books, magazines, furniture are not to be missed. Vienna, 1890-1915, wow what a time.

Very interesting museum. Spent a lot of time there.
You need to give it time so you can absorb everything. All clearly planned and easy to follow.
Really enjoyed it. Fully recommend it.
