Certificate of Excellence

This hotel was recently renovated and it looks now really great, rooms are huge, bed very comfortable, all services you may want, breakfast is very good too. I am not giving the excellence only due to the fact that in my room the wifi was not working. The hotel is located very close to Shonbrunn Castle, half an hour from the airport and it is easy to get into downtown Vienna. There is a nice Sisley boutique and another womens apparel store on the basement. The room rate is definetely competitive if you consider the overall service quality.

I was worried about staying at the Austria Trend Hotel Park Royal Palace because of comments in other reviews about the location and difficulty in getting into the city.
There is a short walk to either the U3 or U4 u-bahn that takes you quickly into the city and multiple day tickets keep the cost down.
It is true that you have to search hard for good local restaurants but there are some.
We were attending a 4 day conference and found all the facilities to be excellent. The food at breakfast and lunch in the restaurant was really wonderful. Some very tasty dishes. I will have put on several pounds in weight!
If you are a jogger there are great runs that include the grounds of the beautiful SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE. The views over the city as the dawn comes up is stunning.
The rooms are of a high standard and large enough. The double bed is actually two single beds pushed together. There is free wifi throughout the hotel

Stayed two nights for business meeting, and was not let down regarding service, amenities, rooms, food, drink and conference facilities. Close to Shönnbrun Castle and you can easily get into downtown Vienna.

This is probably on of the nicest hotels in Vienna. Atmosphere, rooms, service - all really good. Excellent breakfast as well. Great steam room and gym.
Only one downside - the location. If you are not there to visit Schönbrunn Castel or the Technical Museum that is. These are only a few steps away. But it is pretty far to walk to public transportation, the choice of near by restaurants is very, very poor unless you want to go for a Kebab. But still max. points from me for this place.

I chose to stay at this hotel because of the cheap online fare and the name. I completely lucked out by choosing to stay here as it is an excellent hotel, well presented and maintained. The staff members were helpful and friendly. I booked a double room for single occupancy and I had the same issue here that I did in other hotels whereby they push 2 single beds together and don't cover them in a single sheet.

2 beds pushed together means you fall in the gap and can be a real pain in the [--]. However, the beds and sheets were incredibly soft and I slept fairly well. The hotel is in a nice quiet part of town but close to the castle which was good.

Can't really say a bad word about this hotel as the room was modern, clean and everything worked well. Definitely stay here if it is within your price range!

Stayed 3 nights, as other reviewers have said the hotel is far from the city center but not a problem to travel on the tube. Had booked executive double room on upper floor, the upper floor being the 2nd floor in my case, there were higher levels, the room was an average double room, pleasant, clean and modern, no walk in shower just a bath and hand shower, extras were bath robes and slippers, plus the use of the executive lounge. The food in the executive lounge was unavailable after 7.00pm, during a lunchtime visit there was only 1 tiny sandwich left, I think it is a case of grab them while you can. Not sure I would pay the extra for the executive room again but fine if you like to spend most of your time in the hotel eating and drinking tea and coffee.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms are facing the courtyard Executive double rooms are on the 2nd floor and above
