“Best Hotel of Our Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 October 2011

I've been an avid user of trip advisor for years, but this is my first review. The sole reason is the Kaiserhof. The experience was so excellent that we didn't want to miss the opportunity to publically compliment this fantastic hotel. The best way I can describe it is that during our trip we stayed at a variety of hotels, including club level Ritz Carlton in Berlin and this was the best hotel of the trip in terms of price and quality. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast, included, absolutly fantastic. But, like most things in life, the people made all the difference. The best example I can think of is the cleaning staff. We had a conversation with the person responsible for cleaning our room. She actually said "I love my job, I love people". She was so gracious and so happy that we literally talked about that encounter for the rest of the trip. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. When we checked out we filled out the comment card - within a few hours they had already written us back thanking us for the comments and indicating how serious they take the feedback. Is this the most decadent hotel room you can find in Vienna? No (although don't get me wrong - the rooms were very nice with fantastic amenities). However, decadence at more high end hotel chains doesn't compare to perfect non obstrustive service by people who care about every aspect of your experience. Without question, the staff at the ritz carlton could take some lessons from the Kaiserhof.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the suites. It was very spacious.

As a regular travelling Kiwi I stayed at the Kaiserhof a year ago and went back with family in September - we had a suite and a luxury room. As usual, lovely and quiet, fabulous decor and service. Electric jug and nespresso coffee maker supplied in each room, spa bath and separate shower in suite. Lots of luxurious towels, comfortable beds, flat screen TV's (two in suite). Computer access is provided and is free. Extremely clean, lovely quality furnishings. And the best breakfast selection. They also booked the Vienna Woods half day tour for us - this was great and well worth doing. In addtion on our first day we arrived back to our hotel room with a complimentary welcome botle of wine in a cooler saying we hoped we would enjoy our stay. This is one of my favourite hotels in the world simply because they do the combination of great warm and friendly service, lovely rooms and every staff member is proactive about offering service that makes your stay more enjoyable.

The hotel is very well located, central and secluded at the same time. Away from the street noises. Service was excellent, the hotel manager has a special touch for groups and it makes the difference. Staff very attentive to everyone's request. Breakfasts were excellent, good choices.

Room Tip: I stayed at this hotel with a group from Voyages CAA Quebec. As a tour leader I must say that the a...

Was there for 2 nights, great stay. My wife had beer and chocolate cake sent to my room for my birthday. They delivered perfectly. And tried to upgrade us to a suite no charge as well, but we needed 2 beds, suites only have 1, so they upgraded us to a premium room. Beatiful room, comfy beds. Excellent buffet breakfast. About 10 min walk to opera house, which is the start of the 1st district. Easy access to the U, and there is an amazing market 5 min away with fresh food, cafes, etc which is perfect for lunch. Highly recommend as it is close to the action, but still quiet. If there, go to Artner's near by for a great meal!

Wonderful business hotel just south of the ring road around the old centre of Vienna. Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet is fantastic with a lot of variety, and the rooms have high ceilings and very comfortable beds. Extremely convenient to the city's extensive transit system - Karlsplatz is a five-minute walk and is served by 4 metro lines. Several tram lines run within blocks of the hotel. The Naschmarket is also very close by, and walking to the pedestrian centre of the city is easy (cutting through the metro station underground is faster than crossing all the streets). When I asked for a laundromat, the only one they knew of was half-way across town along one of the metro lines - self-serve but really nice, new, and enviro-friendly machines, also quite expensive, I wonder if there was anything closer to the hotel? They gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations, though.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review.
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our fantastic breakfast buffet.
Sorry that there is no laundromat closer to our hotel. There are anly a few laundromats in vienna, because people do not often use them.
We would be pleased to welcome you again in the Kaiserhof.

Best regards,

Stayed at this hotel September 6th - 9th. I highly recommend this hotel, was in an excellent location only a short walk to the Vienna Opera house and close to the metro. Hotel is located off the main street so the room was very quiet. The room was nice size and had all the amenities one would expect. The staff of the hotel were amazing and provided some great recommendations close to the hotel for dinner and for tickets to a classical concert. The breakfast buffet had many options and was well stocked with many different choices.

We stayed here in July 2011 for 3 nights and loved it. It was the perfect choice -very close to the ring with friendly professional front desk staff-they even let us print out our tickets for the Schonbrunn palace-well worth it by the way.Great breakfast included and the hotel is much more elegant than Best Westerns in North America.Rooms had 2 nice chairs to sit in.Free hi-speed internet.
