“Great small hotel in great location”

The staff is superb (and I have never said that about any hotel before)! The hotel offers free tea/coffee all the time and always a bowl of fresh apples in the lobby; their breakfast buffet is amazing. Our room (on the 5th floor) was "huge" (506) with a sitting area and very "cool" decor. Location to Nasch Markt was a 5 minute walk and we ate dinner there twice! Less than 10 minute walk to trams and 15 minute walk to Opera House (I'm a slow walker!). 15 minute walk to Hoffberg Palace, Museums & Ringstrasse. Around the corner from Klimpt Museum & metro. Apparently the hotel was just taken over by a private company & has redone/upgraded their rooms and amenities. Only other comment: The toilet was in a separte room not beside the shower (which had a rain shower and red glass tiles - gorgeous). This may be an EU thing! And there was no magnifying mirror in either bathroom to use when putting on makeup! Othersie, the room was fantastic and I would definately return and recommend The Hotel Beethoven Wien.

Room Tip: Rooms on 5th floor are a bit higher categorty but larger and decor is more "cool". Try th...

We wanted a room in Vienna that would be authentic yet not too old (and dusty and musty) and we were very, very pleased with our choice. The location is absolutely wonderful. Directly across from the Nauchmarket, only a 7-min walk from the city center and a 2-min walk from the Uban station.
The lobby is pleasant and as I arrived early (before check-in) I relaxed using the free Wifi. When I wanted to take a walk, rain looked imminent, and I was offered one of the umbrellas supplied for guests. The staff were very helpful. Beethoven played in the background.
The room itself was bright, clean and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was a feast and included everything you could want: eggs, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, fruit and fruit salad, pastries, vegies, oatmeal and cereal. I can't believe anyone left hungry!
Excellent value. I would certainly go again!

Hotel Beethoven is tucked away on a side street, so it is nice and quiet; yet, it is within walking distance of several nice areas. I stayed here while attending a conference at TU Wien. It is also close to the Nachmarket, the Opera, and the metro. The front desk staff were happy to answer all my questions and did not mind speaking English with me.

The beds were reasonably comfortable, the included breakfast was very tasty, and I felt that we got a really good value for the price. As long as you are not expecting a luxury resort or a downtown location, you will not be disappointed.

It was pristine in the era for which it was advertising. The single room was as if i stepping into the 1800s, although small and the bed was like a foam matteress which i think is standard for europe i found that in Madrid as well.
It was very centrally located and in walking distance to almost everything. A complimentary breakfast buffet with a superb espresso machine. Loved it! It´s a jewel, i´ll be back!

The name captured my attention when I was looking for a hotel in Vienna and I am so glad we choose to stay there. The location is super. We took the train from the airport and got off at Carl Platz. It is very close to the hotel but you must take the Opera exit. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast buffet is heavenly, and the Beethoven's music was playing softly all day. We had our breakfast at the small piano lounge facing the figurines of the Magic Flute players on top of the theatre entrance where Beethoven performed.
The room was small but the bathroom was huge for European standards with a heatd towel rack. Every room is decorated with different colors. Ours had red satin curtains and wall coverings. I definetely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel is in a side street so there was no noise problem.

Good service and, overall, excellent location, near the historical center of the city, close to a very nice market (where you can have a large choice of restaurants for lunch) and not far away from opera. Thanks to its location into a small street, you can also enjoy the tranquillity. A very good value, really.
