“Perfect stay at Beethoven”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

The hotel is great, it is very well located and has great staff that help us in all our requests. Breakfast was one of the best I've tasted before. The good combination of price and quality. I would definitely advise everyone to stay at this hotel visiting Vienna.

I am glad that you that you enjoyed your stay with us! I am sorry that you were disturbed by our renovation work! We are in the finals now, repainting all the public rooms.
These works should be finished by the end of April! We would really love to welcome you again.
All the best and thank you for your good Review,

The hotel is wonderful, it is very well located and has great staff. We received an upgrade in our room because we were on our honemoon and ended up in a room that was almost as big as our apartment! Rooms are new, spacy, clean and very well decorated. The downside was that the hotel was undergoing some renovations so you could be woken up by the noise or have to deal with going up and down the stairs because the elevators were not working. But as long as you make sure the hotel is not on renovations when you stay there you´ll be pleased with the choice! Breakfast ok. Hated the pillows (way too thin).

I really apreciate your nice words about my hotel and want to say "thank you" that you were patient about our elevator during our renovation period. A honeymoon is probably the most important journey in life and I am very proud that you decided to spend some days at the Beethoven. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope to see you again one day,

all the best,

Nothing much to say; good location, average rooms (a bit obsolete), solid breakfast - but it is not a four stars Hotel.
Reception has been forthcoming for all of our questions and nice staff at the restaurant and housekeeping department.
Big plus would be smaller wellness or gym because we definitely lacked animation while we were in Beethoven.
Slow internet!

Room Tip: higher floor

I feel really sorry that you very disapointed about our Hotel and Service, we are usually very proud of. We only serve organically grown food from Austria and a big choise of homemade cakes and Sweets for breakfast. Also you can order any egg dish you want.! We do have 5 different room categories and are always happy to help you to find an adaquate room for you . Concerning a gym , you are right, we do not have a gym in the building but across the street we do have day tickets for Viennas most famous Fitness Center John Harris, where you can find a fantastique spa area. Nevertheless we hope that you enjoyed your stay in Vienna and send our kindest regards,

Reception was wonderful. Breakfast was definitely generous and more than I expected (but I loved that). We had an issue where it was quite warm and i wanted to open the windows, but as we were near the street, not on the courtyard, it was a bit noisy at night (a/c was not yet turned on). But when windows are closed, it was very quiet. And usually the street was quiet enough. I found the beds quite comfortable, as did my husband. My friend who was travelling with us said she didn't sleep very well. The location was excellent. I would highly recommend the hotel.

This was a lovely hotel that was just where we needed it to be. It was close to transportation and the sights and have a really lovely breakfast area. The person behind the reception desk when we arrived was very warm and helpful. There was a bit of construction going on in the stairway but it wasn't obtrusive at all.The block the hotel is on seems a little sketchy to the eye but i think it's fine in reality as it is just one block off the main roads.

I am happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! As we are in a tiny street we are lucky that it is not noisy at all which is very rare in the center of Vienna!

When we arrived a very warm welcome from the gentleman at reception made us feel at home.
.
Issues were bathroom ventilation and not enough attention paid to the hot section of otherwise very good Breakfast buffet. For the first week in March, the room price was somewhat on the strong side. The hotel was doing some building works, which was not an issue, but even allowing for this, the rear stairwell was overdue refurbishment.

We liked the tea/coffee tray in the room, the absolute friendliness and helpfulness of all staff, especially when we had difficulty in printing our boarding cards for Dublin. Absolutely perfect housekeeping is a hallmark of Hotel Beethoven. Tea and coffee in the salon, together with complimentary newspapers, which was adorned by a beautiful baby Bosendorfer.

Location is excellent just off Karlsplatz. Vienna is a relatively compact city, so we walked to the Opera and Musikverein in less than 10 minutes. Karlskirche is on the opposite side of Karlsplatz. U-Bahn cannot be any nearer. Some very nice restaurants nearby. This hotel is well recommended.

Traveller Tip. Take CAT from Airport to Landstrasse station, transfer to U-Bahn [ Green Line signposted Hutteldorf} Get off at 2nd station – Karlsplatz, Exit station at Secession/Friedrichstrasse forward 100 metres and hotel is on a side street - 2nd right.

Hotel Beethoven Wien is a moderately sized hotel on a quiet street just off of Naschmarkt. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The location is very convenient - it is about a seven minute walk to the Karlsplatz U-bahn station, much of which is underground. When leaving Karlsplatz watch for signs for Secession or Theater an der Wien to take the easiest route to the hotel. Also accessible by short walk fromt the hotel are the shopping street Mariahilferstrasse, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the State Opera, and the Musikverein. Service at the hotel is excellent. The breakfast buffet has hot food and is served in a pleasant setting. There are several good restaurants nearby in Naschmarkt. This is good value for the price.
