“Decent!”
Reviewed 18 March 2014

To spend a quick night on a business trip, great place.
I am not interested in being close to the city center.
If you need to be, this is not the hotel for you.
Was given a very nice room with ample space.
Oldish bathroom but acceptable.
Had breakfast included and was offered a nice spread.
Fully deserved 4 points!

We had a room on the ground floor off the garden. It was a beautiful room, very spacious and it offered great light and views! The room had 4 floor to ceiling windows and I think, if I'm not mistaken, two might have been french doors that lead out to the court yard. The room was very clean and modern and much more than I expected in a European country, where rooms tend to be smaller.

The hotel was a little far from the closet metro. After spending the whole day sightseeing, the 7 min walk back to your hotel room can feel the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest. So close yet so far away!! Overall, we were very pleased with the room!

The hotel is located close to the Kettenbrückengasse Metro station, in the centre of the city. Even the Opera House can be reached on foot.
They provide underground parking. There is renovation going on, so the main entrance is locked, but can be reached from a side street.
The rooms were spacious and light. Breakfast was excellent.

A few years since I visited and the staff just remembered me! A great location super value for central position and around 400 metre walk to the metro then 2 stops to St Stephens Cathedral. Is currently undergoing refurbishment but that will not stop you from receiving a warm friendly welcome :-) Great job Herr A WIMMER always a pleasure to stay with you and I so look forward to the next time!
Danke :-)

Room Tip: 5th floor if possible

We did enjoy our stay in Vienna very much and the location of the hotel was perfect for us. It's not the city center but close by in walking distance. A weekly pass from Monday to Sunday for public transport cost around 16 Euro which is a bargain. There are plenty of Restaurants and cafes in the area that are visited not only by tourist which I like.
We did have a very nice clean room overlooking the courtyard - however at the moment there is a big construction project going on and our nights ended at 7 am in the morning when the friendly builders started their conversations. And at night we could hear the other guests in the hotel and outside. The staff was very friendly did the best to accommodate our wishes. We did get a good price, clean rooms, great location - the only downside was the noise.

I have been staying here with colleagues during a one weeks business trip.
I am very happy with the choice we made.
The location is pretty much in a center of the city. There are restaurants and bars/pubs in walking distance.

The hotel was under construction while we were there, so we couldnt enjoy the steambath. You will find a bar at the hotel, too.
The breakfast doesnt give you tons of choices, but you will find hot and classic breakfast, too. We liked the typically "Apfelstrudel" that gets served fresh every day. Overall the quality of the breakfast is really good.

The room was spacious and very comfortable as expected. A variety of pillows and toiletries that the frequent traveller will appreciate.

The staff was extraordinary friendly, professional and customer orientated.
Extra wishes like a delivery of an iron to my room or other request has been taken care of with a smile. Great!

One thing that was unfortunatelly really disappointing was the terrible slow wireless internet service.
I wonder how hard it can be to get a broader DSL bandwith. (Business) customers simply need Internet in order to do their work.

My advise: There is limited space in the narrow garage. Avoid to travel to the hotel with a big SUV, unless you really know how to park it.

Went to Vienna for the weekend and stayed here. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Staff was very friendly they even offer a postal service for 1 Euro I think it was. We asked for some extra pillows and were nice to provide them to us. Location is around 15-20 minutes from the opera house and Stephanplatz. Would stay here again.
