Had a steak that was so tough you couldn't eat it. Waiter said he could give us a cup of coffee at no charge to compensate for the steak that he took away. Not a very good gesture.

For the review of this hotel, I can be quite short: it is a good place both for a business oriented stay and city trip. The location of this hotel is very good in that sense that it's immediately located near a major underground station, which allows you to go from your hotel room to any place in town in just literally minutes.
The swimming pool is located on the rooftop, which is nice, but I didn't make use of it (my wife did, she was delighted) as I was there for business, and the swimming pool closed before I got back.
For the rest, the hotel is as any decent hotel should be: rooms are luxurious, maybe need a little update, and the restaurant is good. Not exceptional, but just good. I must say I liked the hotel bar. It's cosy, there's always a lot of people,...
The reception staf was very friendly, I must say to conclude.
The hotel was nice to walk into and the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean, but not very well noise proof so we could hear people in the corridor which made sleep time not so easy for us. We tried their breakfast which seemed fine.
We had a problem with the bath tub drainage, the water was getting collected as we took a shower. This problem was fixed on the same day that we informed the reception about it which was impressive.
The location was good, easy to get to the center with the local transport.
Our expectations were very high. After all this is a Renaissance Hotel part of the Marriott group. I have stayed in various Renassance hotels in the USA and this one in Vienna is really a disgrace. Rooms are outdated, carpet in the room was filthy, service mediocre, TV sets that date back to 10 years ago, a bathroom that need urgent upgrading, and everything comes with a surchage. Shame , shame, shame....and it was not cheap at all!!! They do have a lot of demand for the property. Lots of foreign tourism groups, mostly asian. The property is far from town. So if you want to be at a hotel near the monuments and the historical sites on Vienna, this is definitively not the hotel. By subway transportation it is about a 10 to 15 minutes ride...about 5 to 7 stations. The Gym...come on!!!! : just a crowded room with minimal amount of equipment, with no space, not enough ventilation.
A nice and friendly with restaurant just accross the street with homemade food for lunch and dinner was a much better deal than the restaurant at the hotel, where the service attitude left a lot to be desired. We should have stayed somewhere else!!!
Great location in the middle of the city so that you can reach anywhere in quick time. Close to subway and cabs easily available.
In terms of the propert it looks small from outside but actually has huge space inside. Neat rooms with all modern amenities.
The hotel is located out of town within walking distance of Schonbrunn Palace. I chose to stay at this hotel due to it being relatively close to where I was working and was near to the train station if I wanted to go into the centre.
The room was a fair size and the bathroom clean and well stocked with sundries. The rate I chose included breakfast, internet and use of the mini-bar. It was a little more but not bad value. The decor of the room was a little tired, but apart from that generally a fair business hotel.
The gym is very small but it has a fair few pieces of equipment crammed into the little space so was functional.
The food in the restaurant is standard Austrian/Germanic fare i.e. quite plain, boiled beef and carrots, schnitzel etc it was ok.
