Very lovely, comfortable, safe and classy hotel.
Loved the location, the room, the staff, the services, the shops.
Cleaning rooms once again in evenings and chocolates - nice touch!
Definitely coming back.

Centrally located just 10 minutes walking from City Center Metro. It was easy to turn our car in at the airport and take the train back to the city center for a 4 day stay during Christmas. With a choice of two different subway lines and 4 streetcar lines this hotel’s location made it so easy to get around. We enjoyed the lobby bar and the Rewards lounge on the 8th floor for breakfast. I was torn before booking to stay here or at the Ritz down the street and I am so glad we chose the Marriott. The concierge staff were always spot on with their dinner recommendations for our group of 6.

The hotel was close to the attractions but not on top of them, and the staff was lovely. The room was clean and good sized, the TV had plenty of international channels (I loved the Italian ones). The staff recommended great local restaurants such as purstner and helped with directions around town. Ask the desk agents where THEY eat dinner, and then go there.

We were guests at this wonderful hotel the week before Christmas. The hotel was at capacity, but we never felt any kind of stress. This staff is excellent, very well trained, and gracious.
The people at the concierge desk were always helpful and had great ideas, The concierge lounge was always busy, but the staff kept everything clean and the food coming, so that even though it was busy, you were able to have a drink, food and relax.
Breakfast are excellent. The location is perfect, on the ring road, right on trolley stop, and a short walk to St. Stephens. We walked miles, because with its location, and so much to see, we never felt that it was a problem.

Room Tip: Room facing the park are lovely.

Excellent location, close to main city attractions, pleasant and helpful hotel stuff, very good internet connection in the room but no free connection at the swimming pool area, free internet only in the hotel lobby, food excellent with a lot of different varieties, garage in the basement but no dedicated space for Marriott guest, need to circle around to find a decent close to the door spot. No dedicated garage unload and load spot and main front entrance seems to be always occupied by cars. Rooms clean and well maintained.

Room Tip: room 520 with park view.

First - our stay was Dec 19 - 22. This is a very busy time in Vienna and the hotel was full - lot's of opportunities for service to slip given the number of people coming and going.

Visited Vienna for our 20th wedding anniversary. Just a short trip - 3 days. Decided to use the hotel car service for airport transfers - very nice for a no worry transfer, and price placed directly to the hotel bill.

Location - outstanding for our purposes. Wanted to visit the many Christmas markets and old section of town. The hotel is a very short walk to the U3 underground. Simple to use, fast and efficient - about Euro 2,50 to move around one way, same to return. That said - if you are in Vienna when the weather is warm and dry - no worries, just walk, many of the sights are not that far away from this hotel. We walked on day 1 - in a light snow and freezing mist - not so good. Used the underground after that for longer treks.

Hotel staff - Excellent - very friendly and welcoming. Check-in reception was wonderful - arrived before 10 am and was able to get into our room and up to the lounge for breakfast. Concierge and desk support was outstanding - friendly, sharp, seemed to care, managed restaurant reservations on a Saturday night. Left our plug adapters at home by mistake and expected the desk to send us to the hotel store - not at all, "how many do you need?" - and handed me two for use during our stay.

Room - good, clean - our room did not appear to have been through a recent updating. Great size though - plenty of space. The bed was wonderful. Bathroom could use a little work, but don't let that stop you. Request a "quiet room" - location is better.

Stayed on Marriott points - lounge is very nice, and convenient. The lady that worked the lounge during the mornings we were there was very attentive. Breakfast = eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, bread, coffee machine, etc. Dinner time food was a bit more than I have seen before - pasta, beef, some smoked fish, wine and other alcohol. If the hotel is busy, then the lounge will fill quickly as it is not terribly large. Family friendly hotel, so expect that there will be some children.

Drinks in the bar downstairs a little high on price, but not much more than I expected. Cafe on ground floor serves killer cheese cake.

Tip for train travel (not the underground). Be very clear about the address where you are going - not just the station name as station work has occurred over the past few years. I expected our cab driver to know the central train station as we were planning a side trip to Bratislava. Instead, ended up at a small side station and needed to take a two stop ride, and then a very long walk to the next train - thankful for a helpful man that happened to be walking our direction - I speak no German, he no English - but we made it work!! Our mistake - know the address where you want to go, not just the name of the station.

For location and service - this is a great choice in my opinion.

Room Tip: Ask for a "quiet room" - or at least away from elevators. Park side is a little noisy due...
