“Prime Location, Concierge Relaxation”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2014

Couldn't ask for a better location in the city. Visited Vienna for the first time over Christmas (2013) with the family and as Marriott Platinum Members, we already knew where we were going to stay.

Easy walk to plenty of amazing restaurants and high end shopping. Christmas markets galore. Stephens Dome maybe 5min walk through very nice shopping area. Museums were a bit more of a walk, maybe 15-20min.

Concierge lounge was great. Served great full meals with 2-3 hot plates, breads, cheeses, several salads, house wine and simple cocktails. Breakfast was just as robust. Coffee machines available during all open hours - great quality. Very large (15 or so table tops) with a few couches and large TV, though if occupied no other TV to control / watch. Large windows overlooking the city.

Room was average, up to Marriott standards. Floors are set up in a square-circle so you could end up a hefty walk away from the elevators.

Great that they ran room service late, even over the holiday. Would definitely stay here again when in Vienna. Highly recommend.

We had a spur of the moment trip to Vienna, Austria and we stayed here. We wanted to have a central location and this is a great place. Besides being a 10 minute walk to the Graben - where there are lots of shops and restaurants, and right across the street from Stadtpark - it is a lively place with the restaurant/bar located right beyond the entrance. It is conveniently located to catch the trolley.

We had desssert and bubbly there one night and our server found us a great table. It seems to always be bustling with activity. We were able to use the concierge level for our breakfast and snacks in the evening if we needed. The two ladies who worked in there did a fantastic job keeping food replenished and tables cleaned. They worked hard.

At the front desk Marlena was very helpful answering all our questions and giving us directions and suggestions. The concierge, Teresa also gave us maps, called cabs and headed us in the right direction.

Our room was very nice and a good size.
Don't always go out the front door. Use the side door and meander down the little side streets and see the shops and restaurants you might miss otherwise. They are a treat.
We would definitely return to this hotel.

Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel for 6 nights over the new year. Centrally located 10 minutes walk to centre. I am a Marriott rewards customer and have stayed at numerous Marriotts around the world. This hotel was definitely one of the best. Check-in was quick and efficient. We stayed in a corner junior suite on the second floor. This was a smoking room, as unfortunately I am a smoker. Not having to stand outside was certainly a positive. The room was spacious with everything you could want and the cleaning staff ensured that it was always spotless. The executive package included free wifi, free mini bar which included water, juices and beer and access to the executive lounge on the 8th floor. As executive lounges go this was one of the best. Lots of food choices, both for breakfast and evening. Not too crowded, plenty of drink choices. The staff in this lounge were top class, friendly, helpful and utterly efficient. Downstairs there is the Champions Bar where you can have food, drinks and, yes, even that dreaded cigarette in comfort. This is a sports bar with many tv's but with a great atmosphere. Overall a wonderful hotel, great room, great staff, great service and will definitely return.

Room Tip: Went for corner suite on second floor, very spacious and quiet.

Marriott is always a welcoming hotel and this one is no exception. We checked in (family of 3 / 2 adults and 1 10 year old boy)...on Dec 29th and stayed until Jan 2nd. We did upgrade the room to conceige level and that was totally worth it - - wifi and ability to get quick bites to eat . Plus able to order room service (BKFST) for FREE!
The bed is glorious ! A little cheap with the linens, always had to call for extra towels ! But the views were amazing...we faced the front of the hotel. Very easy to walk to the center of town (about 15 minutes in total).
NYE - we were out all day at the markets and by St Stephens and then returned to hotel about 6PM. Went upstaires to get a bite to eat at the lounge and then went down to healthclub for a dip in the warm pool.
About 11:15PM we went down to the lobby where they had lots of activities and were very festive for the NYE ... enjoyed a drink listening to the live band and the dancers. Popped balloons at midnight and safely went back upstaires about 12:30.

This hotel was lovely, great location, great staff - helpful conceige.
I did not like the meal in Champions sports grill... YUCK. But much better places to eat in Vienna anyway !

Very lovely, comfortable, safe and classy hotel.
Loved the location, the room, the staff, the services, the shops.
Cleaning rooms once again in evenings and chocolates - nice touch!
Definitely coming back.

Centrally located just 10 minutes walking from City Center Metro. It was easy to turn our car in at the airport and take the train back to the city center for a 4 day stay during Christmas. With a choice of two different subway lines and 4 streetcar lines this hotel’s location made it so easy to get around. We enjoyed the lobby bar and the Rewards lounge on the 8th floor for breakfast. I was torn before booking to stay here or at the Ritz down the street and I am so glad we chose the Marriott. The concierge staff were always spot on with their dinner recommendations for our group of 6.

The hotel was close to the attractions but not on top of them, and the staff was lovely. The room was clean and good sized, the TV had plenty of international channels (I loved the Italian ones). The staff recommended great local restaurants such as purstner and helped with directions around town. Ask the desk agents where THEY eat dinner, and then go there.
