I can only echo what others have said. The exterior is unassuming ... to say the least. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it is a very convenient location near the westbahnhof. The rooms are "small but perfectly formed" with quality fittings and pretty omfortable overall. The breakfast is excellent with a great selection of food. I did comment on the lack of a toaster and i suspect that there will be one there the next time i visit! It is not particularly cheap but i suspect that nothing is in viennna.

We picked this hotel based on the reviews and were not disappointed. We were there for nine nights around New Years. There really were no problems with anything. The room was a little small, but that is pretty much what to expect in Europe. It was clean an well maintained. The wireless Internet worked fine and is free. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. There were scrambled eggs, and hard and soft boiled ones.. A variety of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, and other items were also available. We found the staff to be very helpful with any inquiries we had about where to eat, how to get there, etc. we would definitely go back.

Room Tip: It is not close to the city center, but the public transportation is excellent.

We had a good stay with this hotel for 3 nights. If you take a slow walk, it will be about 10 mins from the main train station. We were given a double room on the 1st floor but we found the bathroom too small but the shower was very good. We had a garden view room and it was nice to see the falling snow from our room window. Breakfast was very good with organic cereals included. Opposite the hotel there's a supermarket for you to buy a drink if you need to. Overall it's a very nice hotel to be away from the noise from the city. Staff were very friendly and they also helped us to book a taxi to the bus station early morning. If you arrive by train to Vienna, show your train tickets and you'll be givens 10% discount off your room rate!

This is an unassuming hotel in a quiet location and well worth a stay. Transport into town was only 10 minutes by tram or metro. Its ecological values are strictly adhered to and they have given much thought to environmental issues. This is not way impacts on the standard of the hotel, rather it adds to it. The rooms are tastefully appointed, comfortable and sensibly priced; breakfast was an (organic) feast and the staff delightful.

Wouldn't hesitate to go there again and to recommend it to anyone.

This hotel was excellent - nice staff, very clean, beautiful aroma of lavender, free wifi.breakfast was fresh and organic with excellent range. However the location could be a problem for some. It was very close to the train which was good but I got here in the afternoon and felt uncomfortable trying to work out how to use the train while it was getting dark and there is nothing in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. However, once I learnt how the trains worked I found it very convenient but you have to be willing to use public transport otherwise this place isn't for you.

As a first-time Vienna visitor who needed to make a quick reservation, I couldn't have hoped for a better find. The location itself, while not the most picturesque or lively neighborhood, *is* ideally located a couple of blocks from Westbahnhopf, a transportation hub that can whisk you to any corner of the city within minutes. The hotel staff was delightful, and the lobby and room were spotlessly tidy. The faint smell of lavender when I entered my room provided a relaxing welcome after a rugged flight! While the bathroom was a tad outdated, it was immaculate and the water pressure/temperature fantastic. And the breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations: high quality meat and cheese trays, eggs of various styles, fresh fruit, yogurt bar, even a tea bar where you can assemble your own sachets of exotic loose tea. I would most certainly stay here again.
