“Modern, fresh and comfy”

When arriving at the hotel you immediatly realize, that the management put a lot of thought in the hotel. You'll receive a warm welcome and friendly help, whenever you need it. I also enjoyed the gesture of giving a piece of chocolate at check-in.
The infrastructure is very modern and you will notice the focus on sustainability. But I have to say that it is definitely not annoying or too present.
The rooms are quite, offer enough space (especially for a city hotel) and offer all inventory you need (free safe, hairdryer, A/C,....)
The garage is a bit pricy, but that's just normal for Vienna. Anyway: You will face difficoulties when entering with an SUV. It was a close call with my station wagon.
Room service was also alright, nothing special - but what can be special about it?
Healthy breakfast with a variety of food & drinks.

To sum up: Great for business and city trip. They focus on their core business and do a excellent job there.

From the moment we entered we were made most welcome and were looked after so well by the firendly and very helpful staff.. A lot of personal care by the owner has been taken over this hotel and it shows in so many ways. The room was spotless and of a suitable size for the two of us.The breakfasts were excellent (in the usual German style) with great emphasis on the bio credentials of the food. I just wanted to keep eating because everything was so delicious We will most definitely be back.

Room Tip: All the rooms have separate themes with an emphasis on conservation amd recycling. Our room was on...

We stayed in the hotel for one weekend in February.
Before the trip we had a very friendly communicaton per email due to a possible cancellation (because of sickness), and they kept the reservation for us as long as it was necessary for us to decide if we could travel.
We recieved an upgraded room (actually a family suite with view to the yard) for the same price and a lower price for the parking garage (due to very early booking).
The garage is on the other side of the street, which some may find inconvenient but it didn´t bother us much.
The room was very nice, nicely equiped, with a separate bathroom which I personally like more than the open ones. The beds were comfortable, there´s enough room for storage, a TV set in both rooms...
Although it´s a 30 minute walk to the city centre or Schönbrunn, we enjoyed it very much, it isn´t that far. Also the Westbahnhof station and tram are really near by so you could always the public transport, which we should have done when we walked to Schönbrunn in the rain and were soaked by the time we got back to the hotel :)
Breakfast was spectacular, my husband still talks about it; a large variety of food for every taste.
I liked the eco-friendly concept and especially the idea of the lavender roof (which i hope to see in blossom later this year )
We will certainly return to this hotel in spring or early summer with our kids.
Thank you again for a great stay !

Stayed here in early October 2013, my girlfriend and I were very impressed with the hotel's concept and design, and the only fault that I can mention is that the location is not very convenient.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, very eager to assist us with directions and guidance for walking around the city and the area. We stayed in a queen room with a nice bathroom overlooking the supermarket across the street (convenient as there is not much else to be found in the immediate vicinity, you have to walk or tram it down to food locations but if you are after some essential items and food stuffs it helps to have it across the street) on a quiet road. The rooms are very clean, with a little Austrian charm to them, our room had a reproduction of a music box in a display case that we could play, cute. The bed was very comfortable, we asked for a queen and I think they gave us a king for the same price, tv and bar fridge included; the bathroom and room were both clean, lots of linen just in case, heated towel rail, overall very happy with the room. The breakfast buffet is amazing too, they have all sorts of options on offer, plenty of continental breakfast options as well as some more exotic choices. Tea and coffee was quite nice too, proper coffee, not the rubbish American crap.

Overall we were very happy with our stay here, the only let down I would say is the location, it is a bit of a trek to the main attractions in Vienna, and some of the surrounding area are 'a little sketchy' but Austrian's seem to be like Australian's - always smiling and having a laugh with you, rather than reaching for your wallet. So don't be put off by the location, think of it as a challenge, if you've got a bit of weight to lose, stay here, enjoy the hotel and walk everywhere! You're on holiday after all, you're supposed to walk around!

The location of the hotel is not close to any attraction as such but it is a nice pleasant 30 min walk to the sites via the pedestrian shopping street mariahilfer strabe.
It is also only a half an hour through westbahnhof station to reach Schonbrunn palace.
We really enjoyed the breakfast and the friendly service. Wolfgang (not the composer, but the waiter) does a great job in explaining each dish. We were quite full with the spread.
For the price we paid in expensive Vienna, it was a steal.
Our TV was LCD and though the room could use some more light, we had no complaints and will happily stay here again.

This hotel is not anywhere close to attractions and is located in an un-inspiring part of Vienna. The Rooms we had (205 and 206) did not look anything like the photos shown on Trip Advisor and are, in fact, very dated (ours felt more like a room you would rent by the hour). The ECO-Friendly approach of the hotel will drive you crazy - every light in corridors is on a sensor ("clap on, clap off" kind of feeling) and the rooms have tube TV's that are from the 70's (must have missed this on the ECO checklist as they burn a lot of energy compared to LCD's). The breakfast that hotel offers was average compared to other properties we stayed at. In the end, we cut our stay short by one day and paid the penalty to get out of the depressing surroundings and head to a different part of the city.

Dear Mr. Cameron,
Thank you for reviewing your stay with us and for taking the time to share your impressions.

We are sorry that your stay in Vienna did not meet your requirements in regards to distance to the city centre and expectations and that you left our hotel unsatisfied. Please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Our hotel is located a 10-15 minute underground ride from St.Stephen’s Cathedral and a 10 minute ride by tram to Schönbrunn Palace. We are not located in the first district of Vienna, but very close to the city centre.

We are truly sorry that you did not like the rooms 204 and 205 in our town house building. We offer a variety of rooms which are all decorated in a different way and each has its own style. If we had known that we did not meet your taste, we would have tried to react immediately and offer you other rooms. We were only informed that you underestimated the distance to the city centre.

You are right, there was an older television set in the room. The reason is that sustainability for us also means not throwing everything out just because it is not brand-new, but to make use of the lifetime of the apparatus as long as quality can be provided.

We deeply regret that you were also unhappy with our breakfast: In fact we actually take great pride in our breakfast buffet. Many of our guests have given us the feedback that the many organic and high quality regional products we offer, by far exceed the expectations they have of a 3-star hotel.

Best regards,

Stefania Aloia
