Hotel rooms in Vienna are expensive. We paid around 15 euros less than at Hotel Beethoven (which is a little more central) so felt this was very good value for the quality.

Room: very Eco-friendly, attractive & quiet room with separate toilet & shower. Clever use of space. The pillow was a bit soft & there was no extra blanket. No facility to make drinks in the room. Wifi was good.

Breakfast: some elements were great such as the cakes, DIY tea & DIY muesli. Would have been nice to have more cooked breakfast than just scrambled eggs. Quite good overall.

Location: right near (3 minute walk) the Westbahnhoff station. Very quick & easy to get in to the centre of town on the metro or by tram. Took 40 minutes to get to the airport by bus which leaves from the station. Bus cost 8 euros.

Service: the staff were great, very helpful.

Couldn't find the lavender garden which looked so pretty in pictures, should have asked but we were on a flying visit!

They are really succeeding at being eco friendly................the breakfasts are all organic and such a wide selection of food, rooms are clean, bright and the solar hot water was really really hot. Very helpful reception staff. Tram 49 takes you right into Vienna Inner Stadt and it is 20 minutes to walk to Schonbrunn Schloss so a good location. Visit the 7 Stern Brau micro brewery which is at one of the 49 tram stops on Siebenstrasse!!!! 5 minutes walk to Westbarnhof station where for Euro8 you can get the airport bus.

Room Tip: Ask for one that looks onto the inner courtyard to see the trees, hear the birds and crickets

I stayed here with my Mum as a friend had recommended it and I wasn't disappointed.

Pros: really close to west bahnhof station (which is a couple of stops from the main square), and close to the tram stops, great selection at breakfast (including soya milk which was great for me as I can't have dairy!), friendly and helpful staff, clean and nice
rooms, opposite a supermarket, away from the busy main area

Cons: no water provided in rooms, no air con (a fan was provided but room still got very hot), hotel doesn't provide lunch or dinner.

For me the cons weren't a problem and I would stay here again but if you're with someone elderly who doesn't like walking much then it's something to be aware of.

Fabulous staff. Very welcoming . You were made to feel at home straight away. We had a very good room on the ground floor quiet , light and airy with seperate shower room. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfasts are amazing - a complete range of products (buffet style) and can be eaten in or out in th e lovely courtyard. If you are travelling by train this is the ideal hotel. You are a little out of town but the tram system is on your doorstep and easy to use whether you are going into the city or out to the Schonnbrun Palace. There is a marvellous fish restaurant at the end of the street

This is perhaps the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. It's comfortable, quiet, stylish and the service is outstanding. The fact that it's a sustainable, carbon-neutral eco-hotel is icing on the cake. We live an eco-conscious lifestyle at home and it is wonderful not to have to leave that completely behind when we travel. The eco-guilt of air travel is hard enough to live with.

This is a zero energy hotel - which means in the course of a year, the hotel uses the same amount of energy which they generate. Like I said, I love the concept. Everything we needed was available to us but there was no waste! Should have more hotels like this.

The staff was very friendly upon our arrival and recommended a good restaurant down the street when asked. Our room was immaculate, well laid out and charming. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in a long long time.

We'd definitely go back!

We stayed in the hotel for one weekend in March. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The room was very nice, with a separate bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was spectacular, a large variety of food for every taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although a little out of the city centre public transport was a few minutes walk away. The hotel is very close to trams. Can definitely recommend this hotel .
