Hard to find at first if traveling by car as hotel is behind a corner and not visible when you drive by. There is no parking space in front of hotel even for short stay, policeman is there in a minute if you dare to leave car on taxi station in front of hotel. In the other hand ideal if coming by train. Also for WiFi you must figure out how to get free password. In one night stay I didn't have time. There is always a line at reception desk as fluctuation of guest in this hotel is very dense.

New hotel, clean and decent. Rooms are pretty basic, but well equipped. Great value for money for short term stay.

The hotel location was just next to the train station (you won't miss it!). The building was in modern style. The room was basic but it's nice and clean. The staffs also were english-speaking.
Free wifi was available at the lobby, but you could get free wifi in your own room if you took the hotel breakfast. The breakfast itself was nice.
There was NO TELEPHONE in the room, so if you need to talk to the hotel staffs you'll have to go down to the reception desk at the main lobby (I had to go down just to ask for more bath soap...a little bit ridiculous).
After all, this hotel was still a practice choice with good value.

Vienna hotels were super expensive during the May Festwochen, except for Motel One. A brand new striking structure, like a floating square, right next to the Westbahnhof: not the kind of hotel we usually go for, but we loved it! Very friendly staff, good location, particularly if you are coming by train, a supermarket (even a mall) right in the same building, and internet access everywhere. Our room was clean and comfortable, with modern minimalist decor. We looked out onto the inner courtyard: it was totally quiet, with windows open. I do not know if that applies to rooms looking out onto the train station or the street.
If you want a concierge who can get you Opera tickets, or a basket stacked full of lotions and other goodies, this is not the right hotel for you.
The hotel offers overnight parking in the local garage for 13 euros. We ended up paying 34 euros. As we were leaving, we were not inclined to go back and check if we had done something wrong, would have needed a voucher, etc. Make sure to ask enough questions so you know how to get that 13 euros parking.

Room Tip: The hotel is a big floating square open in the middle: the rooms looking onto the inner courtyard ar...

We needed a hotel close to the train station as we were travelling through Austria by train.
This was the perfect location. As you walk out of Wein Westbahnhof it is on your left hand side, you cannot miss it.
The room was modern but basic and very clean. There was free Wifi, flat screen LCD TV and air conditioning. There was no mini bar or tea/coffee making facilities which was disappointing.
The breakfast was basic, cereals, bread and cold meats (no hot food) but still sufficient.
The hotel was an approximately 30 minute walk into the tourist area of Vienna, down one of the main shopping streets which was enjoyable.
If you are a Hop on, Hop off user, there are no bus stops near the hotel.

Motel One Vienna sounds drab, being adjacent to Westbanhof rail staiton and underground subway station ( lines 3 and 6). it is hip and modern. IKEA like minimal furnishings, no telephone in room, and pay up front.( about 70 euros/night) Aiport bus stops right there
( 8Euros one way).
However, proximity to transportation ( 3 quick stops to Stephaplatz) and yummy food in very clean modern adjacent rail/underground station is fabulous. We dined at several of the cafes and restaus in the station- food is fresh, tasty and easy on the wallet., There is a grocery store in the basement which had a remarkable seclection of fresh foods (*merkure").
Hotel lobby is very hip and trendy and comfortable to relax in. There is Wifi. it transforms in th morning to a breakfast room ( filling breakfast), then in evening has wall projections of a railroad and lace like designs which complement the hotel logo. Great light fixtures, bar, etc.
Staff are young, but reasonably helpful. There is always a short line at the front desk, and no concierge desk. Elevators are completely glass and the place has an airy feel, very welcoming.
You are just off Marianhof main shopping street ( if you continue walking, you will end up at the Hofburg Palace, about 30 minutes).
Few great restaurants nearby- Yellow ( Asian food ) and Bauernrau (trad Austrian a short 10 minute walk, hosued in a most fascinating building, architecturally).

Room Tip: try to get a room that faces away from the train station, as more busy

Your next trip to Vienna can be an adventure as well if you visit Motel One in Vienna. On the first hand the hotel looks nice, has a good locations to the main railway station. Bu, there it begins and ends.
I came at 10 am asking for a room. The receptionist told me that the check in is from 15.00 hours so I should come in one hour to try again. No problem. I´ll go for a coffee. So I was trying to get a room every next hour till 14.00 o clock getting always the same answer. We don´t have clean rooms - the hotel was full last night. So please, if somebody can me explain, logicaly or on a mathematical way, how is it possible to have the same situation with no available rooms at 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 hours with check in begining at 15 hours? Hotel has at least 200 rooms!!!
Rooms are new and small but if you have to much clothes don´t think about it. There is no locker, no safe deposit and there is no soap. But it´s clean, can´t say nothing. The story with the budget hotel is by my opinion not correct. One person with breakfast is paying EUR 76 and for two people it starts from EUR 84. This is not a budget hotel because you have plenty of nice hotels in Vienna with all those amenities for less or same price. It´s a marketing trick.
And on the same end things get stolen from the rooms. My last day, taking a shower and want to take my parfum. No there. No in the room. On the reception I ask for a explanation or check but they reacting very slowly telling me that the person which was cleaning comes after and I have to run to the airport. I told them there is something missing in my room but almost no reaction. No managment or somebody else to take care. Just the receptionist dealing with 5 more guests. On the end, I am the customer and guest and I expect in such situation at least some reaction, but this don´t count here. So I asked them to call the police. I lost one hour more with the police. My time was running our but nobody really took care. It looked as all this was happening somewhere else and not in their hotel. Catastrophic. So, if you don´t have to much clothes and no expectations, you can go there for 1 or 2 days. Take your staff with you or lock it in your suitcases. Maybe this will save you from stealing. It bothers me that nobody told even "we are sorry"!
