We stayed here on the third floor, for approximately six days. We had a corner room which much to our surprise was very spacious with a couch, chair, TV and coffee table sharing the main room with a desk area and a small kitchen area. The bedroom was also spacious and had its own TV. Everything was very clean. Downstairs in the basement was a fitness area and a sauna which was an excellent to wind down in after a day of sight seeing. the staff was very friendly and helpful. They had no trouble with conversing with us in English. They recommended two excellent restaurants close by within walking distance. Both restaurants had reasonable prices, excellent food and waiters with English. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast but since we thought it was too pricey we just walked two blocks and found various small cafes which served excellent breakfasts at half the price. The a solute best thing about this hotel is its location...a few blocks from the metro and just within walking distance to many of the major tourist attractions.

Chose this hotel for a long weekend with a friend and it didn't disappoint.

Really spacious "room" (separate bedroom and lounge/small kitchen area ), huge bathroom and decent standard all over. Tvs in bedroom and livingroom. Our room was on the first floor, but with a quiet street that was no problem, we slept really well. The aircondition worked great. The kitchen includes some plates, glasses, knives etc so you can easily prepare your own breakfast.

Location is also nice, less than 10 min walk from Stefansdom and that area. Plenty of restaurants in the area. We took the bus from the airport to Schwedenplatz, which was a few minutes walk from the hotel.

On our Europe trip, we went to 4-5 cities. Our suite at Starlight Suiten Salzgries was easily 2x the next largest hotel room we encountered on our trip (at Prague which we thought was large!). The suite itself was very clean and well-maintained with a small bar. Location is excellent, just 200m walk to the happening 'Bermuda Triangle' nightlife but away from all the noise.

Stadenplatz subway and tram stations are 100m walk away and the Wien Mette station (airport express CAT train runs from here) is 10min by cab or 2 subway stations away. Everything is close and comfortable even in a big city like Vienna.

Staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. In fact, on the day we were leaving, I came down to the reception to check out and called for a coffee just before we left. Coffee is chargeable since we didnt have a with breakfast room and should have cost approx 3 Euros. When i went to make the payment, the lady at the coffee shop smiled at me and said "its on us". It was such a small gesture but it brought a big smile on my face. Such things color your experience and make you want to come again. Thanks Starlight.

I stayed there during my trip to Vienna, one of my favorite cities (though I don't necessarily find it that friendly). There are many great things about this hotel:

1) Location - 2 minutes walk from the bus stop from the airport, plus you can walk to many sightseeing spots by walk.

2) It is spacious. One time, my husband and my uncle had to sleep in the same room. My uncle was able to push his bed away from my husband's enough to feel comfortable (as if!!).

3) The décor and ambient are... imagine Holiday Inn Express. Not repulsive, but certainly not exciting, but the room is clean and pleasant and that's all I ask for.

I recommended this hotel to my in-laws and boy, they were so grateful. I would definitely go back there in a heart beat.

Oh, one important thing (especially for a family with children). There is a TV channel that shows explicit porn.

Everything was good about the room-well laid out with a separate sitting area. We used it for an extra bed.
The staff was always willing to help.
I had left my laptop on the bus to Vienna and the bus Company was simply inaccessible. two staff members-Pecirev Ivana and Tiachian Alexandre really helped me get it back.
I would simply recommend the Hotel for the staff itself. They can really make your trip.
Otherwise the hotel was neat, building had an old word charm, but absolutely modern furniture

This hotel's location is excellent, and the rate is good for Vienna. However, when we checked in and found the room was not air conditioned, the response given by the desk clerk was "did you request air conditioning?". Since the website did not indicate otherwise, we had no idea that only some rooms had airconditioning! They changed our room, and we were placed in a very large, upgraded apartment. At the end of our stay they presented us with a bill for the upgrade (which they then corrected)!!! The rooms are a little "tired", but extremely clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is a little expensive, but, frankly, well worth it for the convenience (we are glad we had the breakfast package). The staff was pleasant but not as helpful with tourist information as we would have liked. Overall, stay here for the location and value, but not if you wish a more luxurious hotel.

This hotel is in a very good location, about 10 minutes walk to the Stephans Dom. However it is not 4 star standard, specially for an Austrian hotel. The suite we had was very spacious, though it was dated. We did have two seperate flat screen TVs, which was good. The bath had two sinks, but the shower and bath tub were not really 4 star. The breakfast was definately not of 4 star standard, never the less did it offer a good variety of food. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. All in all we were happy with our accomodation, though it is not a 4 star hotel.
