We were in Vienna with our teen aged boys and so rented an apartment suite at the Carlton Opera, where I have stayed previously (2007, 2008). The two bedrooms were bordering on huge, but with very little furnishing, so the beds seemed to float in all that space. But they we're comfy, the building was quiet, and we were able to get street parking right out front (10 Euros per day). Breakfast is hearty and the wifi was strong. On the downside, the rooms were dusty, especially the floors, and despite two visits from the maids, they remained that way. On the upside, the Naschmarkt is one block and Karlsplatz is just three. A tip...some of the apartments are in a building with a lift, some seem to be in one without a lift...be sure you get one with the lift or you'll be getting plenty of extra exercise.
