We stayed for 3 nights in the K+K Hotel Maria Theresia Hotel at the Kirchberg Gasse in Vienna. The Hotel is around 15 minutes walking distance away from Stephans Dom, the great church in Vienna and a absolute "must see", just at the Border of the "Museum Viertel". Taxi from the Hofburg to the Hotel cost around 6-7 Euro. The Hotel has a good AC which helped a lot since the weather was very hot.

The room was reasonable sized, since we travel at family with 4 persons (2 adults, 2 kids).
Nothing to complain about the Service and cleaning. Breakfast Menu was large and the buffet had many choices including english style bacon (which is rare to get in german part of Europe).

Two things to note: At the day of arriving, we could get the room by 7 am - thank you again for this service but to get 26 Euro Breakfast for a child is simply rude.

Verdict:

+ Location
+ Service
+ Price/Value
+ AC !

- Breakfast Pricing (when taken without room)

Room Tip: Any floor is ok - top floor is more silent. All rooms have AC - leave it on when leave the room.

Stayed here with my wife and young son last month and found the hotel to be friendly and clean with an excellent central location. It was also nice and quiet - absolutely no complaints. The breakfast buffet was superb, amazing variety - even sparkling cava wine! So lunch was just a light affair or just a snack. Lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby and adjacent to the museumquartier. Have recommended this hotel to my parents when they visit later this year and will recommend to anyone else intending to spend some time in this beautiful city.

What it may lack in character is more than compensated for by the hotel's great location and good value. It is right next door to the museum quarter and the trendy (and not so touristy) Spittelberg area, as well as being a few minutes stroll to the metro and trams.

The view from the top floors across the city is excellent. I would strongly recommend the breakfast where there a really good choice to suit most tastes, and there is also a very nice sauna and small fitness centre. Last but not least, the staff are friendly and very helpful, and make you feel most welcome.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 5th and 6th floor have the best views

Stayed here for work in September 2011 for my first time in Vienna. The location is good behind the main Museums and in an area with lots of nicely restored artisan houses and bars. There are two stations Volkstheater and Museumquartier close though most of the sites are within easy walking distance. The rooms are fine though the gym is a bit small. I would certainly recommend this hotel for business and for tourism. Tried to book it again on my next visit but sadly it was full!

We have recently stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Maria Theresia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and special mention to the friendly, helpful staff. We had a query and the receptionist went a step further to print off information from the internet. It is in a ideal location, near to the metro station and just behind the museum quarter where they are cafes.
