Again, Tripadvisor made the day
Hotel is fantastic. On all fronts.
Rooms are perfect
Staff are very helpful
Location is prefect
Breakfast was exactly what we needed, including vegetables
I would definitely go again when in Vienna

Room Tip: We had a room that sat over the entrance which was quiet and great - Room 304

The rooms at Hotel Austria has a classical style, the beds are just perfect with very good quality bedsheets. The whole hotel is immaculately clean, and lies just 5 minutes walk from Stephanskirche, so it is really in the very heart of the city. The breakfast merits at least 4 stars (or even more) is has also fresh fruit, a wide selection of yoghurts and Italian espresso.

Room Tip: as it is in a small dead-endlane all the rooms are quiet and none of them has a view

In a dead end alley way and away from noise. Rooms are 5-star type rooms. I was a solo traveler and had a larger room that when the entire family goes to most hotels. During my travels to Austria/Germany- this was the best hotel I stayed the entire time. Cannot say anything negative- Wonderful! My room had another section where a couch and
TV were located. i was scared to go into it because I thought it might belong to someone else.

Room Tip: Good rooms

Great location. Very close to the streets with bars if you want to go out for a drink in the evening.
Room without a shower not as good as you would expect, no air conditioning.
Breakfast is very good. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This has got to be one of the best choices in Vienna. Five minute walk from airport bus stop/U bahn stop, St Stephens, beautiful old town section inside the Ringstrasse, comforable spotless rooms, generous breakfast included in the room price, and helpful staff. We stayed at Hotel Austria three nights. Not sure if it was an upgrade or a standard room but we had a room with two single beds and another room with bathroom and a day bed/pullout bed. Room would have been quite small for two people and luggage without the extra room. Beds were quite comfortable. Good quality towels. Good water pressue in shower (though the shower door opening would be tricky for a large person to exit). Double paned windows kept room quiet. We finally figured out how that turning the knob on the radiators in a clockwise direction turned off the heat (I think the room was set at about 80 degrees F)
Breakfast selection was wonderful - juices, fresh fruit, coffess (including espresso machine), yogurt, museli, several kinds of fresh breads, eggs, bacon, sausage, cold cuts, cheeses, salmon.
Staff was helfpful with directions on how to navigate the public transporation system.
Free PC/printer in lobby -helpful for checking into flights and printing boarding passes.

On a very cold weekend (3/2-5/2) with -15C and with an elderly father to "look after", I was definitely hoping for the best choice while booking a hotel. The first signs cane when I kept receiving interesting newsletters by the hotel, showing this is a serious business. But, hey, I m not fooled that easily. When I arrived, I must say I was surprised. I was expecting something good, having looked at the photos here, but to get such a comfortable, traditional, warm and stylish room made me very happy. I actually felt as if I was a guest at some friend's house. The flat TV's and the tea kettle was the finishing touch to a room with very warm, brand new bathroom and clean comfy beds. Smiling receptionists who did their best to use English and a 4* superior breakfast (Come on, champagne is something I' ve only had in the German Hilton's before!) make me suggest this sweet hotel as the best choice.

Room Tip: Book early!

Very nice rooms, quiet although just a few steps from Stephansplatz, the rooms are comfortable with large beds, clean, coffee and tea facilities, nice facilities and furniture everywhere, the breakfast is OK, a pity the coffee is machine-made ! I'll certainly go back, the staff are very competent and friendly.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms are suites, with 2 beds and a sofa-bed. Some beds have a large bedroom.
