Owner description: A visit to Therme Wien is a transformative experience. This unique thermal spa is an irresistible world where peace and quiet reigns. Leave your everyday stresses and strains at the door. Time loses all meaning, leaving you free to concentrate on what matters most: yourself! You will be in your element: in the heart of the city, yet surrounded by nature. Gentle and contemplative, fun and loud, effervescent or calm. Just like the imaginary stream that wends its way through the heart of Therme Wien, following its natural course and releasing energy in cascading fountains. The Therme Wien stream is a silent and ever-present companion for spa goers on their quest to rediscover themselves. Our goal is to create a place where people can break free of their daily routine and get in touch with their inner rhythm. At Therme Wien you have more than enough time and opportunity to unwind. What are you waiting for?

We were there in August, the indoor and outdoor swimming pools are great. You have many choices from different temperatures and with different styles. It is adapted for all ages with romantic pools, fitness pools, sauna's.
On a very hot Sunday we had to wait in line for 50 minutes to get in but then it was again great, not overcrowded, clean, relaxing and very very enjoyable. The entry on hot days (above 25 degrees) is about 15 Euros for the first 3 hours.
A must!!

Absolutely stunning thermal water complex! Very good indoors and outdoors swimming pools and thermal baths. Spacious and very well-equipped. Everything was carefully designed.
It is a place where you can really relax. I strongly recommend it to everybody.

We love this place!
It is an amazing thermal water centre, having perhaps a double number figure of different thermal pools to try, several outdoor and the others indoor. There is a great variety of wall side pressure massage systems which gently work away any tight tired muscles. The restaurant is pretty good and the cabins, changing areas and walking areas spotless.
The children love the two watersides, the large whirlpool and the 1. 3 and 4 metre diving boards.
My wife loves the scented rooms and the relaxing loungers.

Every time I go to Thermalbad Oberlaa, I want to move to Vienna. I want to move into Oberlaa, actually. I've been here several times over the years, but this was my first trip since maybe 2007.

If I loved it before, I'm obsessed with it now. As if the fantastic saunas and thermal baths of all sorts weren't enough, the addition of two really fun waterslides that are very adult-accessible just makes it the best day out. I love to do water aerobics there when I first arrive, and relax later on. It is a little outside the city, but well worth the trip.

Plan to spend a whole day, don't try to rush yourself, enjoy everything this massive, lovely place has to offer.

Just a tip- If you aren't familiar with continental saunas/thermal baths, do acquaint yourself with how the different areas of Oberlaa work- where to wear clothes, where not to, sauna etiquette, etc. The staff are quite helpful, but will also gently prod you if you seem to be straying from the rules.

The water is very warm (36 degrees), there are plenty of pools, including many outdoor areas, there is a fantastic salt-water pool, there are two very long and two shorter slides for kids and adults alike, there is a whole pool for little kids with plenty of original features, there are plenty of sunbeds, there are steam-rooms with two different flowery scents, there are under water jet massages,.....what more can you want? I have been coming here again and again!
