“Vienna without the bustle!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

This hotel is good, clean and comfortable with air conditioned rooms which are useful as it overlooks a busy street. The staff are very welcoming, professional and helpful and the addition of free internet internet in the reception is a bonus for gaining extra info on city attractions.

The decor is on a theme of black red and white giving a modern appearance and of crispness too. The room was spacious and its only drawback was the non provision of tea making facilities. The bonus of free phone calls to many countries is also an appeal to anyone wanting to stay in touch with home without huge costs.

Transport links to the city centre are excellent with a bus stop, route 74a, almost outside the hotel and buses every few minutes from 5am to midnight. There is not much to do in the immediate location of the hotel but only 2 bus stops away will bring you to the start of the shopping area and associated restaurants. A week travel pass is only 16 euros, approx, so getting about is very easy.

Overall a good hotel offering value for money in an easy to access location however you arrive in Vienna and one that is worth a close look for individuals or couples looking for somewhere to explore Vienna and its many attractions from
A day trip by catamaran to Bratislava is also worth looking into as is a a day at the excellent Vienna zoo.

Room Tip: rooms not overlooking street would be best but windows can be kept closed as air con in rooms

For the price what we paid, we got really nice rooms. It is clean, modern, nice big hotel located little bit far away from center. But a U-bahn (metro) is 5 minutes away or you can take a bus or tram and be in centre in 10 minutes. I can only reccomend this hotel.

Best Western Amedia **** Hotel Vienna is located in Third District of Vienna (bezirk) named Landstrasse. Bus # 74 will take to Stubentor close to Innerstadt - historical center of Vienna. Rooms are very comfortable, with very good windows - You will not hear any noises from outer space. Maybe The breakfast is too expensive. But You can not buy it. Very good wifi and air condition.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. It is clear that they have made an effort to make it quite modern and sleek. They have the "free media" concept which adds a bit to the hotel, such as free movies on the tv. It's a nice hotel and I would definitely recommend it. The only downside is that it's a little bit far from the main attractions if you're wanting to walk everywhere (about 3km from the main tourist area) and in the immediate vicinity of the hotel there's not much around. There is a bus stop near by and the metro isn't too far either so it still does only take a few minutes to get there by public transit and also this makes other, farther away attractions easily accessible too. The neighbourhood feels safe too so if you do like walking (we walked almost everywhere), coming back after dark isn't a problem.

Stayed there for 3 nights last April. Not too close to the city center, but a metro station is close, a bus stop just outside it (3-4 stops from the CAT train station) and a tram stop just 5 minutes walk away. Our room was large and clean, with modern decoration - spacious bathroom also. Although , there was air conditioning the heat control was not working, so the room was overheated and the only way to maintain a comfortable temperature was to open the windows. We did not buy a breakfast packet, but opposite the hotel there is an ANKER bakery which also servers coffee and several super markets.

The hotel was exactly as you'd expect for a best western. Good sized and clean rooms. Helpful staff and good clean every day with fresh towels whenever you wanted them, a good TV in the room which we used to keep up to date with the World Cup :) breakfast is very expensive so go elsewhere and get it, plenty of cafés around. It's in a good enough location for some restaurants etc and we walked a lot but to get into the centre or cross the river/ go to Rathaus it took us about 40 mins and were good 23 year old walkers. The nearest bus was the 71 which was 2-3 mins away or the tube u3 is well connected but that too is 8 mins away. Would definitely stay agin though as a pleasant experience and Vienna is amazing!!
