“Amazing Albertina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2014

Fabulous place steeped in history and culture. Saw paintings by Picasso, Durer, Michaelangelo, Ruebins to mention but a few. Wonderful story telling of the Duchess and her husband (Albert). Well worth the 11.50 euro entry fee.

“Another Must in Vienna”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2014

Enjoyed every moment. Before going there try to read about Maria Christina Duchess of Teschen and her husband Albert Casimir in order to understand the period and the great art collection.

“Pace yourself and take in one more art museum!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

Yes, Vienna is blessed with numerous museums but each time I've been there, I've gone to the Albertina and it doesn't disappoint. I won't reiterate what other reviewers have so eloquently described and they're spot-on. I arrived in the early afternoon so started my tour with a visit to the cafe for lunch and that provided it's own pleasure. Just sitting in front of a Klimt and absorbing it made the visit worthwhile.

“Memorable Wall Paper”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2014

This was a last day, last on the list visit, but are we sure glad that we went. First off, the Albertina building is interesting as there is a contrast with how modern it is on the outside with what is contained on the inside.

The presentations and exhibits were so well done. I mention the wall paper because from room to room it was very different, ornate, colorful and beautiful enhancing the art and objects.

The collection is stunning as there are major works from masters. You will see imperial, modern, Chagall, Picasso, Napoleonic garb..... Seeing Durer's rabbit was a joy! Really worth a visit.
