Vienna is one of the best capital cities of the museums in Europe. Albertina is one of the "must"! Take as much time as you need to visit it, you will get out with a clear idea of how art can make the world a better place.

“MUST SEE if You Love Impressionist Art”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

This museum houses some beautiful impressionist artists including several Monet's, a Renoir portrait, and a Cezanne to name a few. You will enjoy the Picasso's if you are a contemporary art enthusiast. Some excellent works are on permanent display, and some special exhibits were on display during our visit which included "Blow Up" and an Alex Katz exhibit. I found the special exhibits underwhelming for me personally. But tastes are different, and you might find them the best part of the museum.

“Utter waste of time.”
Reviewed 14 July 2014 via mobile

Utter waste of time. Half the gallery was closed. Far overpriced. Entirely abstract art. Debatable if any of the artists used a brush finer than their finger. Some admitted to painting in the dark. Highly recommend you spend your time convincing people to not go in to the gallery instead.

Dear emnmax, we are sorry, we failed to inform you that in July we were partly closed due to reconstrucion. Obviously the displays in the entrance hall had not been big enough ... Next time, if there are reconstructions, we will make them highly visible in order to prevent disappointments. Thank you for your feedback, I think this gives us the chance to lern & improve!

“A definite must see!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

The Albertina gallery is just fascinating! Beautiful pictures from the most popular artists are everywhere. My family and I went there in the early morning so we avoided the crowds. We spent two, two and a half hours in there. This is a must see in Vienna, and it costs only 8 euros per person! For the things you'll see in here, it's a very, very good price.
When we got out, in front we bought some sausages to eat.
