In my opinion, is the most beautiful museum in Vienna. The mixture between old masterpieces and modern exhibitions make BELVEDERE PALACE a veritable landmark that YOU MUST SEEN.

“Klimt's Kiss is oppressive”
Reviewed 21 April 2012

Great building, stunning location overlooking all of Vienna. Loads of high quality art. Klimt's Kiss is oppressive, especially for the woman - the Serpents nearby is much freer. Wonderful room on same floor, full of comedic caricature head sculptures. Some good Schiele's dotted around. My favourite painting is on top floor, it's called Caesar at the Rubicon - made me laugh and laugh...

“Outide lovely, inside a bummer!”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

We loved the gardens and the Oberste (Top) and Unteres (bottom) Belvedere from the outside.
The flyer tells you can visit both palaces; the Oberste is known for it's art, the Unteres shows the living areas.
We choose to see only the Unteres Belvedere, because we're not big Art-fans. But in this part of the Belvedere there are very few rooms to be seen, the rest is also Art!
So, if you love art; go see this.
If you don't; only go outside!

“Beautiful promenade”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

The Belvedere has a beautiful promenade and he palace was gorgeous. The art work was somewhat overwhelming but a joy to see. I recommend splitting the visit into 2 days to see all the works in a leisurely manner.
