“Klimt and impressionists, beautiful grounds”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

The Belvedere is divided into upper and lower art museums, with the Upper Belvedere housing the permanent exhibits and the Lower Belvedere housing newer exhibits. Klimt's The Kiss (Lovers) is on display in the Upper Belvedere, though the overall body of Klimt works is small. The grounds of the palace are beautiful.

“Great Palace Grounds”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Extraordinary palace grounds, which are FREE. Some water features operate limited hours because they are gravity operated. Free WC in lower Belvedere Palace.

Palaces themselves are art museums. Go to the Hofburg if you want to see period furnishings.

Fairly accessible, but uphill.

“Klimt's "the Kiss"”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Beautiful palace and grounds. Three separate admission tickets for the different exhibits. We visited the Austrian expressionist exhibit only. Klimt is gorgeous and the exhibit halls very impressive.

“The upper belvedere was great with many amazing art pieces like the kiss.”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 via mobile

Very need museum with tones of beautiful pieces. They did a great job keeping it interesting and had a few videos which was neat. I only saw the upper belvedere because it is split into two museums the upper and the lower that you pay for separately. The upper is the lager of the two it also has the restaurant which was quite good. The museum also has a beautiful court yard that is beautiful to walk through.

“Just another museum”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

I was looking for a palace with furniture from royalty. I wanted to look at the clothes and jewelry they wear and envision ancient royals dancing in an elaborate ballroom.

Mostly, what I saw were the paintings and it was not impressive enough.
