This museum is also a working division of the Austrian Government and is fascinating. You must be interested in the history of furniture and manufacture to make this visit worthwhile and I do not recommend it to the "bucket list" tourist, of which there are many.

It might be quite interesting for an architect or an interior designer, a layman might not find it worthy of his/her time.

Part of the sisi ticket so we had to come , hidden away down a side street. Nice building some interesting furniture but I was quickly bored.

To begin with, you should be into furniture and interior design to enjoy this place. If you're not, there are many more places in Vienna to spend your time. If you are, then you'll enjoy being up close with pieces that are so exemplary of their times and places. Particularly enjoyed the Modernism exhibit on Wagner, Loos, et al.

Bought the Sisi ticket which included this museum. Agree with other people’s comments that the furniture could be used to fill some of the palaces l saw. The displays were good and the special displays of 1920/30 furniture was amazing. As it should the designers, the homes it came from and the background of the people who owned it. Also found the logistics of how the royal households moved with their furniture interesting. Well worth a visit.
