Fantastic art collection, wide range of Impressionist/Realist artists and interesting exhibition of art and drawings from WW1. Well worth visit and admission fee. Shop also pretty good, nice range of souvenirs.

“The best things in life are free”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

The museum quarter is an area of Vienna with a high concentration of museums and galleries. The complex that includes the Modern Art Museum, Mumok has several free exhibitions, the quality of which I guess can be variable. I struck lucky with a fantastic sound and vision installation with electrical cables as a central theme. I was enthralled and regarded this installation as the highlight of the museums and galleries that I visited.

Lots to see, but erratic scheduling makes "dropping in" impossible. Make sure you enquire in advance of travelling as the museums alternate opening hours, and often close some of their galleries with special exhibitions.

“A must for Art lovers”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Many fantastic museums within walking distance of each other. The Leopold and Upper Belvedere Museums have the largest collections of Klimt and Schiele's in Europe.
