We went for dinner. If you are in Vienna, you need to eat a Vienna schnitzel. I have been in Austria many times and I know that the size of a Schnitzel can be "challenging". My husband ordered Fish. When our order was served, we were quite shocked. First we thought they have mistaken our order for a starter. The fish filet could be eaten in 3 small bites. The Schnitzel was a children portion. We thought " that's the way it is" , and we would never come back. Next to us, there were 2 Austrian couples, they all ordered Vienna Schnitzel. When their order was served, we couldn't believe our eyes. Schnitzels as big as the biggest serving dish (even their plates were bigger than ours). We felt insulted and I asked the Restaurant manager if he thinks that this is correct. Reply was : that's how it is ! He even dared to say that I was the only person in 25 years, who complained. ... and he walked away. We never experienced such a rude behaviour. For having to walk away hungry, we had to pay 50 €. This restaurant is a ripp-off. Would not go close to this rude man.

in this restaurant you can find a lot of Austrian delicious food with good price. specially in the best place of city, near Stephan. there is a lovely man who will help you to chose your food. I ate pork Schnitzel, and honestly it was so delicious. don't forget to order beer too. I am sure that you will enjoy it.

We visited that place in the afternoon for coffee and small food. The waiter was very kind. The food could have been better. We tried the kaiserschmarn and were a bit disappointed. So at all its lower average - okay when you are hungry but thats it.

At first sight the restaurant it seems clean and honest. But very quickly it will turn bad. The host seems to be honest and friendly and serviceminded.

There were plenty of space in the diningroom. We was the second table and we noticed at non of the other guest that was locals.

We placed our order. Since we were on our way to a concert we placed our order accordingly fast. Right after the order was placed. The host offerede us som traditional Austrian bread and a small salat. We assumed it was compliment of the house since we didn't ordered it. The host was kind as always and urge us to try it. And we did to our later regret.

After the food, which was fine, we asked for the bill. Here found out that the "compliments of the house" was not for free. The gebäch (bread) cost 1.40 Euro, Knoblauchstang (Bread stick) 2.50 EURO and the small salat 3.80 EURO so and additional 7.70 EURO (approx 10 USD). That is a lot for so little food in that quality.

The worst of it was the way thing were happenng in. You felt so cheated and caught off guard.

So don't go there. They are unscrupulous.
