Food selection is varied and family style. You can get viennese soup and traditional schnitzel dishes as well as ham and cheese sandwiches and pizza.
The menu is printed in 6 languages, including Russian, making it convenient to order even if you do not speak german as you can point to what you want
Service was pleasant
Location is great in a side street from the main avenue and it is open late.
Went there a couple of times

Relation quailty-price is quite expensive, but the white house wine i TOO MUCH EXPENSIVE!, we ask for the price and the waitress don't want to say it, and when we ask for the note, the wine price is for cups, they didn't take care that we asked for the full bottle,, waotressis quite rude, we don't recomend to go there

Obviously it can't be bad if my mom insisted to return a second time in 2 days! We were not with her the first day. The service was very good and waiters spoke English and French on top of being very friendly - that helps. Some food was good, other could have been better but friendliness + being in front of our hotel explains the return.
Very good: potato soup
Good: garlic soup, pumpkin soup, apfel strudel (better with sauce apart or without)
Could improve: onion soup, cordon bleu, penne or my beef with onions & potatoes; the taste was good but it was way too oily
A bit expensive: cheapest bottle of red wine is 38 euros (over $45)
Nice: being able to eat outside in November thanks to the special lamp radiators.

We arrived late on a Sunday night, having been sitting wartcghing Tosca live outside the Opera House. I was cold, and we found this lovely little place in a side street. It was warm, and homely and comfortable. The waiter asked where we were from to make sure we got a menu in the right language. We both had a lovely huge chicken breast stuffed with garlic and spinach, with a sort of light gravy, which was freshly cooked and hot and really tasty. 2 large glasses of local Austrian wine, and all for around £35. This isn't the sort of place you just stumble upon, as it's down a side street, but it's not far up from the Opera Hhouse, down one of the streets on the right.

We went for dinner. If you are in Vienna, you need to eat a Vienna schnitzel. I have been in Austria many times and I know that the size of a Schnitzel can be "challenging". My husband ordered Fish. When our order was served, we were quite shocked. First we thought they have mistaken our order for a starter. The fish filet could be eaten in 3 small bites. The Schnitzel was a children portion. We thought " that's the way it is" , and we would never come back. Next to us, there were 2 Austrian couples, they all ordered Vienna Schnitzel. When their order was served, we couldn't believe our eyes. Schnitzels as big as the biggest serving dish (even their plates were bigger than ours). We felt insulted and I asked the Restaurant manager if he thinks that this is correct. Reply was : that's how it is ! He even dared to say that I was the only person in 25 years, who complained. ... and he walked away. We never experienced such a rude behaviour. For having to walk away hungry, we had to pay 50 €. This restaurant is a ripp-off. Would not go close to this rude man.
