“never order a room in a hotel that has a pub restaurant”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 September 2012

If your are looking for quiet nights, this is not the hotel for you. I asked for a quiet room, i got a small room and they promised that it will be quiet, well it got quiet around 04:00 a.m. I got some ear plugs for the next night, but it didn't work. I complained but the manager couldn't help, he kept saying that it is the Centrum and that is the noise condition in all hotels. Well it wasn't exactly the center, and i have learned that being in the center you give up on quiet nights??

Room Tip: no quiet rooms in this hotel, even thou they say they are, i couldn't sleep with earplugs

stayed four nights in August. It was a good experience and I am very pleased I picked this hotel. The owner and staff were very helpful.Location is excellent for the centre and airport bus.Everything worked:Wi-fi, fridge aircon. Room was mall but perfectly formed. Breakfeast was fine. It is a budget hotel in a top location so don't expect a luxury class hotel.

Room Tip: rooms away from the street are probably quiter in the summer when the weather is fine and people eat...

Good hotel near St. Stephensdom, the Ring, and mass transportation. Helpful staff. Rooms on small side for a family of 4, but not out of line with what I expected from a European city. Free Wi-fi was nice; Breakfast included.

Rooms are small but fine for one person with cable TV, good showers and free wi-fi. Came with a varied group for a reunion and very much enjoyed our stay. Very small lobby and no gym. The hotel is only steps away from the airport bus service to Schwendenplatz. Close to subways, trams and the famous St. Stephen's Church.

If you need to stay 1-2 nights and get a good rate (under Euro 100), then my advice is: take it. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable enough, bathroom small but spotless. WI-FI internet is free in the rooms and your car is safe in the nearby garage which costs Euro 22,00/night. Alternative parking options in Vienna are either much more expensive or so bureaucratic that you won't want to go there:-)
Halls are a bit dim & spooky.
If you've booked a heavily discounted rate like we did the owner might ask you to pay in cash. As we only stayed for 1 night this wasn't a problem, but make sure you negotiate this in case you're staying longer.

Stayed a few nights at the Hotel Marc Aurel in Vienna during a trip to various cities via train. This hotel is not large; it is tucked away on a side street only a few blocks from the centre of the city and St. Stephen's Cathedral. It was convenient to catch the Metro or browse the shops - all within a couple of blocks. If you like to walk or bike, you an go anywhere in the city from this convenient location.
