We just returned from Vienna and as one reviewer mentioned we were a little put off by the appearance of the lower reception hall. However the feeling disappeared immediately after we had proceeded to the next level to the reception desk. Our room was ready at 9:15 AM and we had the first of 4 breakfasts at the hotel. The selection from the buffet was generous and omelets and eggs were available for order. Coffee was a specialty and the mélange was divine. Our room was quiet, of moderate size but very comfortable . The bath was not large but was good. From 4-6 PM tea and cakes were served in the dining/lounge area and drinks could be purchased in the evening. The staff could not do enough for you. They were able to get hare-to-get symphony tickets and put to some sandwiches together so we didn't have to go to a restaurant prior to the symphony. It was worth staying there if nothing else for the breakfast which is included with your stay. The location in the Spittelberg was very convenient for touring and several local restaurants were recommended that were very good.
