I guess an Austrian pension is basically what we'd call a B&B. This one is 10 mins walk from the centre of Vienna and is reasonably priced compared to local hotels. We opted for a twin room with our own shower and a shared toilet just outside the room. With breakfast this cost €70. We also paid for on street parking right outside. The owner spoke Mygor and some English but not German as I'd expected. The room was large and clean but with no aircon so was warm, but with the window open and being in the centre it was quite noisy until the early hours. But this is to be expected. I hope to return to Vienna and will consider staying here again.

Hargita is a perfect place to stay in Vienna, well located, clean, cozy and friendly pension will attract you every time you come to the charming city. Offers family atmosphere, especially for Christmas holidays, delicious breakfasts and something special you can not describe with words. Walking distance from shops, museums quarter and other important spots. Very close to metro. Experienced its hospitality three time. Always enjoyed!

Room Tip: I would recommend staying in double room even if you travel alone.

Excellent location, right in the middle of the famous shopping street, Mariahilferstrasse, and the city centre. Westbahnhoff and several good supermarkets/shopping centres are also within walking distance to the pension.

The not so good side - the rooms are very small (no shampoo there) and very noisy, as you can hear absolutely everything your neighbours do. Also, the room was not cleaned during my week long stay and the towels were changed maybe once.

We stayed at a double room in this pension. The rooms are clean, good value and the location is good in the shopping district about a 20 min walk to the centre. The service though is average I wasn't able to get any useful advice from staff on attractions to see in Vienna or local restaurants. Vienna is also a very expensive city. When you have Bratislava , Budapest and Czech republic nearby I would spend less time in Vienna and more time in eastern Europe which is so much more value for money
