The hostel is very close to the HBF.
For a hostel, the twin-beds room is large and it contains an independent bathroom.
The Wifi is weak and the connection is slow.
The check-in speed in frontdesk is also a bit slow since there is only one receptionist.

Single rooms were very good value for money. The rooms have a fridge which is handy.
This is an actual hostel where students stay during school terms. I found it had a very hospital-like vibe which was a bit eerie! Street is not that easy to find especially if you are arriving by train at night but convenient after you know your way (don't expect you'll ask somebody for directions because most likely they wouldn't know!) The windows don't really open so it was very hot. The biggest positive is the proximity to the Westbahnhof station for train connections.

A regular room, not quite big with a private bathroom, the wifi dont reach the room, it's only available in the room next to reception. We just wanted to stay one night to rest and this room was enough for that. Many people and many luggage always around the reception. There is a little fridge in the rooms.

Strawberry Youth Hostel Vienna is really cheap and nice place to stay when you want to visit Vienna for some days :) It is situated near Westbanhof, ca. 5-8 minutes on foot. In the railway station building you can find supermarket which is opened to 11 pm (and during weekends too, when all is closed).Nearby the hostel you can find some markets for example Lidl is in the area.
Some nice pubs and restaurants are available too (Mariahilfer StraBe is one of the main streets in Vienna and it is near the street where the hostel is).

The room was convinent with two comfortable beds, desk, night-table, chair, shelf and the fridge :) The bathroom was in the room too. Customers of Strawberry hostel can use kitchen on the 1 and 2nd floor, which is full of dishes and is the nice place to cook.

The staff was very friendly and spoke in many languages: Deutsch, English, Spanish and others. The lifts were available. You can spend time with others in 'rest-room' on the ground floor (every day they show austrians films) and the computers are available there too. You can use Wi-fi in this room too, but I haven't problems with mine in the kitchen :D

You must give your keys away everytime you go out and when you come back you show your hostel-card :) But it is needed: hostel is full of people during holidays :)

The main minus was lack of the floor cloth (even thought hostel's standards don't contain towels in their offer for us it was difficult to sop up the water after the shower without piece of cloth... we had to use toilet paper; <) Another? Maybe Wi-fi should be available in rooms too, but it isn't a problem to go down and use it.

Fantastic stay I reccomend ;)

Stayed for 2 nights. This hostel is only open in summer. (From 1 July) The students dorm turned into accommodation. We did not know this but were lucky to check in on day1. Rooms very clean and new looking. Close to all transport. 10 min to good restaurants and pubs. Not much atmosphere in the dorms at all. (Even though fully booked) Staff very helpful and speak good english. No towel. No AIR CONDITIONING. On the days we stayed it was 24 degrees and the room was nearly unbearable. Everything in room is timber and made for a muggy night. 2 euro beers downstairs. Good kitchen facilities.
