“Great Hotel, Perfect Location, Very Good Service”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Spent four nights here and was extremely pleased at the level of service throughout. The front desk are very nice, helpful, and quick. The concierge desk helped us with reservations and checked on a few openings during the Easter weekend. The rooms are spacious enough, well appointed and feature free and reliable WIFI, free minibar drinks replenished daily, and any request for extra towels was promptly met. The mod design isn't for everyone but given that this is a stylish city, it fits in well. Complaints of loud music in the lobby are not something we can opine on as we didn't experience it. Perfect location just steps from the Opera and five minutes to the museums. A short 20 minute walk to Wien Westbanhof if you're planning a day trip out of town.

Le Meridien is a very good hotel! Well situated next to an opera house and Kärtner straße, with nice lobby and good restaurants. People working there were very friendly and professional, which made this stay even more enjoyable.

The biggest advantage of Le Meridien are rooms. I got a deluxe one on the 5th floor, which was very spacey and well arranged. Huge bed facing windows and inclusive small mini bar. Built in shower with vertical and horizontal water streams.

On top of that internet has been included in the rate! So all in all very much recommended, I will happily be back!

Located almost in front of he Opera house, this "Le Meridien" has proved to be much better than same-company hotels in many other cities in Europe. Very nice and helpful staff (from the helper outside to the desk staff), great room with free wifi and modern and useful amenities. Room was large, bathroom very nicely furnished. Gym is average but all you might need is there. Most importantly, excellent price/quality considering average standards of 5 starts hotels in European capitals. Indeed a place to stay when in Vienna. Walking distance from the inner center while remaining in a quiet and relaxing location. We will certainly be back there.

Stayed midweek for 2 nights at the end of March 2014. This is a very modern hotel with lots of modern art everywhere!! The location is great and in walking distance of shopping area and opera house etc..The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and had perfect English. This is a very busy hotel and on both nights I stayed there was a large function. First night was a fashion show second night was a huge nightclub event. The music was very loud and a lot of guests complained to no avail.
Nice hotel but not for business. If you like 80s music and dancing this is the hotel for you!!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room on the 6th or 7th floor to avoid music.

This was our third hotel that we had stayed on during our honeymoon through Austria. We took the train from Salzburg to Vienna and were really hoping that this place delivered especially considering all of the rave reviews. Well, first - Le Meridien did deliver especially on 1) service and 2) honoring my suite night awards. I was hoping for an amazing room in both modern features and space seeing as we had all of our snowboarding gear. When we arrived they were QUICK to help us with our snowboarding gear as that's much appreciated. It took a moment as we must've come during a busy time where everyone was checking in and out and I was just looking around at all of the artsy things they had on the walls. If it had been a little darker, more glitter, and louder music - I may have mistaken this for my favorite chain - the W. Anyways, we were told that we got a great room and that we would love it. They were right and we did.

Our suite was bigger than most people's apartments in NYC. To say we had plenty of space to put our items is an understatement. It was a corner suite and we walked into the living room, dining room table to seat four, a separate bathroom off of the living/dining room, BIG bedroom of US standards, separate shower and bathtub. At that point I didn't care that there were trees blocking the window looking to the Opering. Needless to say our room was very spacious.

The bed was very comfortable and more importantly there were PLENTY of OUTLETS!!! The biggest pet peeve of mine is having a lack of outlets in this day and age and thankfully my husband and I weren't fighting for an outlet! We ordered room service for breakfast the next day and everything was as ordered. I like when people pay attention to me and put light oil on my omelet. It makes my day that much better. The location of this hotel allows you to walk pretty much anywhere in the Inner Stadt. We had a tour and we weren't rushing to make sure we caught the train. Karlsplatz (u-bahn) is really close. When you exit the hotel and cross the little service road. Keep going straight and you'll be right at Karlsplatz in 3 minutes. From there you can go anywhere. If that's not your thing you could walk 8 minutes to the Albertina, or walk a bit further to the shops, maria hilferstrasse anyone? Everything is right outside of your window. It felt good to have Le Meridien as part of our honeymoon.

You can't go wrong staying at this hotel for business or pleasure. When we go back to Vienna again - there's no question where we'll be staying.

Room Tip: Corner Suites are the way to go

Let me preface this by saying my husband and I stayed here for the first time in over a decade at the tail end of a very long two week trip. We were flying home to the states from touring Asia and broke up the long trip home by staying in Vienna for a night. I loved my previous experience here 10 years prior and was looking forward to spending a quiet evening in the middle of long-haul flights lounging in Le Moet bar and grabbing a quick bite in the wonderful surrounding neighborhood. When we pulled up in the cab from the airport we were exhausted and really looking forward to a quiet night and REST. Imagine our surprise when we pull up and there's a line around the block for the property's monthly happy hour party. We walked into the lobby and could barely hear the receptionist as we were checked in (although she was lovely and apologetic for the crazy loud party happening in the lobby). If we weren't at the end of a very long trip, we would have been all about this and totally would have joined in. But given just coming off a 10 hour flight and embarking on a second the following morning, this was the LAST thing we wanted. It's 100% not the hotel's fault, but it just so happened this was our worst nightmare on this particular night. I wish we would have had a heads up that this was going on, as it was super loud when we were trying to get some zzz's, and we would have booked somewhere quieter. I LOVE champagne and was really looking forward to enjoying the Moet bar, but since the party was going on, it was PACKED and we couldn't get anyone to serve us, let alone sit anywhere.
Aside from that, everything else was GREAT. Wonderful location, free mini bar, comfortable rooms. We'll certainly be back if we pass through Vienna again, and hopefully can enjoy the party next time.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room - we were on 5 and could hear the very loud party happening in the lobby.

Dear Anna,

Thank you very much for sharing your honest and open feedback with us and for returning to Le Meridien Vienna after 10 years. We appreciate that you have taken the time to write us your impressions and all your comments about the noisy and therefore sleepless night are taken under serious consideration.
Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconveniences you experienced throughout your overnight stay and it is definately not excusable that you couldn’t rest at all. It makes us very unhappy that we did not meet your expectations this time and we would be delighted to note your preference on a higher, more quiet floor for your next visit in order to avoid any similar situation in the future. Nevertheless we hope that all the other positive aspects your mentioned could dispose of the discomfort and we would be more than happy to welcome you back soon at Le Meridien Vienna.
In case we can be of any assistance regarding future reservations or other requests for any Starwood properties, please don’t hesitate to contact us again!
Warm regards,
