I booked for 4 nights earlier this month. The hotel is located about a 5 min walk from the nearest metro station on a quiet side-street and about 10-15 min from the center of the city. You do have to walk up a couple stairs to get to the reception. The reception staff are young, extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (all 3 restaurants they recommended served excellent Austrian food and were within walking distance; one was even open late on Sunday evening). All speak fluent English. My rooms was fair sized by European standards, light, with design furniture. It's mini bar was stocked with Austrian wines and various snacks. My room had a great walk-in shower and the window looked out onto the courtyard below. Service was great; even on a week-end the staff were able to wash a load of clothes for me. The breakfast buffet, although a bit pricey, offered a very large array of yummy items and was definitely worth the money. After 4 pm at their bar you can try a wide variety of Austrian wines. I will stay there again.

I loved this place for many years. This is where i first took my gril out, andthis is where I proposed to her. After that, we stay there every year for our wedding anniversary. Very romantic place, with great furniture in the rooms. Love it!

Other travelers agree that rooms are huge and comfortable with every possible amenity, excellent location and wonderful staff. We could not have been happier! The bar/restaurant menu is small but very good. There is also room service which we used before going to the opera. all the recommended restaurants were excellent.
