Visiting Vienna and being a bit of a crazy cat woman I had to visit this Café. We nearly walked past it as there was no sign outside. Inside it's like a cat playground. We only saw three of the resident kitties. One if them was fast asleep in a basket high up on the wall. It was quite relaxing. The cake we ordered was beautiful, the coffee a bit expensive. I quite liked the atmosphere but I thought it would be a great idea for the owner to also sell a few cat related souvenirs. I collect cat stuff and would certainly have bought something. We enjoyed the visit. I was sceptical about keeping cats in a Café in the middle of a busy city but I think those cats are certainly happier than in an animal shelter. They had a brilliant cat climbing tree, a cat super highway along the walls, plenty of hiding places and the customers respect the cats and their needs. They even had an open patio door with a mesh gate where they could lie or sit and watch the world go by. And they got plenty of cuddles if they wanted them. All in all a good environment and safe too. The café is in a quiet wee alley in Vienna's city centre and if you love cats, you should visit!
