I love this restaurant!! I lived in Shanghai before and love real good authentic Chinese food, and that is what you get here. Everything is so delicious and real. The service is very quick and friendly. The interior isn’t the prettiest, but that is what makes it even more authentic.
Well done China Kitchen No 27!!

Kitchen 27 is located near Naschmarket. The entrance was pretty small.
We ordered soup, spicy chicken, beef, vegetable, and rice. I enjoyed everything.
Spicy chicken came with lotus and pepper (and was really spicy). Beef and vegetables were clean-tasting. The portion was decent, and it is not greasy. Overall very good meal. If you want authentic chinese food, this is a good place.
Service was good and attentive, restroom was also clean.

Small but very busy place. Big portions of fiery Szechuan food. If you can handle this kind of food I can certainly recommend!

My husband and I were in Vienna for a long weekend and wanted to try some new restaurants that we hadn’t tried yet. There are so many to choose from, but we both craved Chinese food. Szechuan to be exact. I’m pretty picky when it comes to asian foods. Normally I don’t eat Chinese food at restaurants as I find it slimy and not authentic at all. But man did we hit the jackpot. A great menu, affordable prices, and very authentic! We started off with some vegetables, green pepperonis with a spicy Szechuan pepper sauce. Amazing! We also had morning glory (water spinach) with garlic and oyster sauce. We then tried the Szechuan beef and the chilli chicken basket. Beware. It’s very spicy! The only thing I didn’t like as much as I thought I would was the Chili chicken basket. It was too salty and felt more like a bar snack than a main dish. But the beef Szechuan was amazing!!! Not slimy, just delicious and authentic. Next time we will share one of those as it’s big enough for two anyways with starters first. I hope they never change their portion sizes and their pricing, and become something else. As long as they stay they way they are today I will come back, again, and again, and again!

Had a couple of drinks near Stephansplatz and found this place in trip advisor so walked across town to find it

Walking in was slightly concerning - drab, tired and didn’t look like the cleanest place to eat, but was moderately busy, so we stuck it out

Service was extremely friendly and efficient and the menu varied and different

I wasn’t so keen on the dumpling soup to start - the flavours were acceptable, but it was the floating bodies of shrimps that put me off!

The main of chicken, beef, rice and noodles were all served well and were extreme good - just on the right side of spicy to be ok. Flavours were good and portions hugely generous.

Would I eat here again? Probably, yes as even though the surroundings were not the best, the food was good, service friendly and the prices were fair :)
