“Extremely clean and efficient”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

We had such a wonderful experience with this hotel. Rooms were spacious, immaculately clean and new, quiet, and well equipped. We were in the tower, and in the lower rooms were a grocery, small affordable restaurants, and boutiques. We were able to save a lot by staying here. the U Bahn was just behind the tower facing the Danube. For those who wish to stay in a hotel where a big grocery and meals to go are available, this is it. It was just one ride to the city center anyway. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was always fresh and bountiful. A great experience . Highly recommended !

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a nice view of the Danube River or the cityscape

I have stayed twice now.
The staff are friendly, it's an excellent location for my work next door, and very clean.
However, I won't stay again! Somebody has made a major error when measuring the blinds as there is no way of getting them to block the light out! For me personally, I don't care how reasonable the price is if you have the sun in your eyes at 430am, in mid summer.
I tried again in January and it seems the problem is the same for every room, as I also asked my colleagues.
For me, I have no problem with a simple room but for a good sleep it must have 4 things...cleanliness, cool temperature, comfortable bed, and darkness when you turn out the light. Personally all 4 are as important, and a minimum expectation.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your stay and the feedback to our hotel. We really do apologize for the inconvenience and would like to explain the situation.
The curtains we have excellently darken our rooms. Because of the air-conditioning and the heating system, the curtains do not cover the whole window – only a small gap stays uncovered, the rest is darkened. Due to the fact that the building already was constructed when we opened the hotel, we had to accept the existing conditions.
We are happy to tell you that we have rooms which are without direct insolation. Please let our reception team know when you book - we are happy to reserve you one of these special rooms.
We hope for your understanding and are looking forward to welcoming you again in Vienna.

Best regards,
Daniel Prägant & the whole team!

Well, it's only a train-ride to downtown, reasonably clean, fair priced, and near shopping. If you can get a discounted price, I'd opt for a kitchenette. Decent fridge, microwave, stovetop, and hot pot. Modest cooking supplies, and sure beats the 11 Euro breakfast buffet! There's a decent supermarket in the floor below the reception, and a Billa supermarket 2 blocks away, on the other side of the train station, and until dark there's a fresh vegetables and fruit market right under the train tracks. The room wasn't fancy, but serviceable. Our windows faced an apartment building, so the dirt/cloudy outlook didn't bother us because we had to keep the drapes drawn anyway! Stylish geometric shapes motif in gray and "candy apple green" aka lime green made us wonder about the dating of the interior designer, but at least it wasn't drab. Plenty of space compared to typical urban european hotels that tend to be tight. "In the round" motif in the Millenium Tower cylinder made for interesting room shape. Downsides: housekeeeping could be better. Hairs found on the bathroom floor were 10-12" long, quite unlike my 2" silver locks! I've seen worse in hotels, but it did make me wonder. Odd mismatch of silverware in room, three forks, no teaspoons, and 2 of other items, and some "onesies" of items like coffee mugs and bowls made me wonder about attention to detail, too. No ice available, either, nor AC adapters. The gals in the Reception are friendly but tend to have "no " for answers about many services. Not their fault; that's just the way it is. Breakfast staff had tough time keeping the tables clear. All of these are quirky matters, but tolerable. The 3-4 block walk from the train station through an often empty shopping mall (after 7:30 PM or so) had me wondering how many would be unsettled walking alone w/no visible security until getting to the hotel. Escalators at the train station end are turned off early, so you need to walk the ground floor following generic "Hotel" signs in hope you're in the right place. If I was a single business woman dressed up from work w/jewelry, or an elderly couple trying to make my way to the hotel, I'd probably be upset, maybe overwhelmed. Also, be aware the reception is NOT open 24 hrs. If you are arriving late, make sure they can accommodate you. I suspect the security staff can help you, but there's no guarantee. SO, my verdict: I'd go back in a heartbeat, especially if it saved a lot over a center city hotel as it did this time. OK, so there are no quaint outside bistros like an urban setting, but there are a few pubs and restaurants clustered near the hotel in the mall that stay open to service patrons and residents. Would I recommend this hotel for everyone? No; I'd be honest about the limitations and suggest they make up their own mind!

Room Tip: Maybe the view of the Danube is worthwhile. Certainly better than staring directly across at somebod...

Dear guest,

we thank you very much for your detailed feedback to your stay. We are happy to hear that you like our hotel and the spacious rooms with kitchenette. We are sorry about the fact that there were hairs on the floor: we ensure you that we have strict housekeeping guidelines and apologize for the inconvenience - also regarding the silverware. This will not happen again.

As the reception is not open 24 hours, the night staff from the shopping center is the support for our guests. So far we only had good feedback about them.

We are happy to hear that you will come back and are looking forward to welcoming you again in our Harry's Home Vienna.

Dear guest,

we thank you very much for your evaluation on Tripadvisor and are happy that you enjoyed the location and the offers at our Harry’s Home Vienna. Every feedback is of high importance for us in order to improve our service constantly.
Regarding the floor we would like to say that we have parquet floors in every room in order to ensure quality and hygienic standards. We are really sorry about the fact, that the air conditioning was noisy. Our reception team has already instructed our technicians to solve that problem.
Regarding the glasses we would like to mention that we normally have one glass in a single room. If you need more please ask your team, they are happy to help you. Furthermore we have a Harry’s Home living room and a service point, were we have prepared different kinds of glasses: wine, beer, water and so on. Please feel free to take the glasses from the service point too.
We would like to apologize that you have not enjoyed the room with view to the Danube. Unfortunately we have to take into account the architecture of the Millennium Tower. On every floor there is one room that shows half view to the Danube river. For your next visit, please let our reception team know if you are not happy with your room. We are happy to help you.
We are sorry that you had dirty windows in your room. We ensure you that the windows are cleaned regularly by a special company provided by the Millennium Tower. We hope for your understanding.

We wish you a good start into the New Year 2014 and would be happy to welcoming you again in our hotel.
Kind regards,
Your Harry’s Home Vienna team

Got a bargain price as I thought. Nice modern-style furnishings, great view over the Danube river, fine service, great for pets (which are allowed there - even though we did not birng any), generally comfortable, except for the cold non-carpet vynil (?) floor. Our feet were cold and there was nothing to compensate for that, neither slippers nor a floor heater. Even though it was otherwise nice, I wouldn't pay what I paid again for that reasone unless I had a pet.

Room Tip: Hotel is located in the renown Vienna Millenial Tower. First impression might lead to being up high...

Dear guest,

we thank you very much for your feedback to our Harry's Home Vienna and are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and our offered services. We are sorry about the fact that your feet were cold... The decision for that type of floor we use is due to hygienic reasons. As we are a hotel that allows its guests to bring thier pets - this floor is more hygienic and easier to clean as a carpet floor. We hope for your understanding in this very special case.

Furthermore we have a flexible and economic price system. You can choose the category, the services, with breakfast or without or with Danube view or without. All these bricks make the end price...

We wish you a good start into the New Year 2014!
Kind regards,
Your Harry's Home Vienna Team

Stayed here as part of the recent Blood Bowl 'Euro Bowl' event. Hotel met my needs. Good clean room, plenty of space. Easy check in and acheck out with friendly helpful reception staff.

Breakfast buffet was busy and cramped for space. Did not see many hot items if any, but the continental buffet was good. Nice views of the river and the city depending on what window you looked out from. Located on top of a shopping centre, so plenty of eating places available. Also close to train network. Easy to get to from airport. I think it was only 20 minutes or so.
