My recent (and surely nor last) visit of Kempinski hotel chain approved its status of top class hotel.
I am in Vienna about 4 times per year and everytimes I regret the lack of really good hotels. What a pleasure to find out that Hansen was opened :)
The building is splendor itself. The science of build modern and high-tech hotel inside without any fault and gaudiness is admirable.
Deluxe room is spacious enough and very nice. The bathroom is amazing, sensoric control of bath and shower evidently becomes as Kempinski standard :)
The minibar made me happy. 12y single malt Macallan and Pol Roger champagne is right filling :)
Ring Suite is amazing spacious apartment with two rooms and two cloakrooms, working area, two big flat TVs and with nice view from one of its three balconies. Nice to be GHA member ;)
The iPad in every room at hotel replaces usual paper offers an information books. You can solve all (from room service to your flight status) with it.
Spa in Hansen is great. There is no swimming pool, but huge inox whirlpool 4x5m is anyway far better for relaxing (for kids even more). Several saunas, steam room and wonderful restroom complements the spa very well.
Breakfast is awesome. I love Kempinski for adapting local customs and specialities. You are eating and tasting the best of Austrian food here.
The variety of pastry, fresh juices, sausages etc is great. The quality of all (especially of tea) exceeded all my expectations. It was the first time i was eating only strawberry jam and can not stop :)
Dinner is also fine, especially soups.
The stuff rulled again. Their kindness and willingness can not be beaten.
At last but not least i must mention the omnipresent sense for details. There must be some sort of unique team of gifted designers supported by smart managers working together with only one objective - to create something what others can not. I have seen lots of of 5star hotels burned down with unsolved minor issues leading to horrible overall feeling.
Summarized, from now in Vienna there is no other choice than Hansen!
One advice: let the stuff park your car. The parking bellow hotel has very tiny entrance and sharp bends. For big SUVs or sportcars a kind of exam :)))
