On TV, I always hear about those high-tech hotels but this was my first experience at one. You can control the room temperature or turn on the TV with the in-room iPad. The temperature of the tub can be set manually. The bathroom was nice and huge. Overall, the place was chic and comfortable, with tall ceilings. Cons: The bed area could be bigger. Also, you have to walk ~15 mins to get closer to the main attractions, i.e. St. Paul's Cathedral, Vienna State Opera House, etc.

We have just completed hotel stays in Vienna , Paris , Milan , Florence , and Rome , and this hotel set the standard by which we judged the others.

All the hotels were approximately in the E 300 to 400 range.

With the exception of the PHK, all fell down in one aspect or another : the room would be well appointed but the service would be poor, or the service would be good but the room would be very small or not to the expected standard.

The PHK ticked all the boxes as they say, with service and room presentation all of a very high standard .

We booked a grand deluxe room, and were upgraded on arrival to a junior suite, which was a very nice gesture from the hotel. I did have a look at a standard room ( 'superior') while we were there. As expected it was a lot smaller than our room but was appointed to the same high standard.

We walked to all the city attractions.

Stayed for a long weekend and availed of a 3 for 2 nights deal. The place is top notch.Very professional staff. Very little to fault, but you do pay,for example, if you fancy a packet of crisps from the mini bar... you get little change from a fiver - so I didn't. Best shower & bath I've ever had. Lovely 2-room suite, all the trimmings & decor are first rate. i-pad provided. Limited choice of free TV, and the pay-to-view movie choice didn't entice. Didn't use the restaurants - usually prefer to wander out from hotels and anyway they didn't seem too busy - maybe a bit pricey for many. Recommended especially if you can get an affordable deal.

This property is gorgeous, and the rooms have everything you would expect of a 5 star property. The rooms are a very generous size, with an enormous bathroom, with heated marble floors! Such a beautiful modern room, and so quiet. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with so many options. I especially loved all of the fresh fruit jams for toast and pastries. The lobby lounge area is beautiful, and each day seemed quite busy with travelers stopping in to have tea, or a glass of wine. The service in the restaurant and all through the hotel was top notch. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return again in the future.

Simple perfect, especially the breakfast and the bathroom :) The staff was very kind. The lobby was also perfect, good albums (books) in the lounge and wonderful cookies and sweeties in the bar. I can just recommand them!
