We arrived on Saturday 16/11/13 for a 2 night stay before going to the Imperial Hotel for 2 nights. We arrived at about 12.00 noon and were taken to the lounge area to check in and were given a nice pot of tea. The hotel is very modern, the rooms were nice and modern. The bathroom was very modern. The lounge, bar area and breakfast area were all well presented. The breakfast area had a good choice and was a hot and cold buffet. The concierge was very helpful with directions and suggestions. We enjoyed our stay here
On the 18/11/13 we moved to the Imperial Hotel, this hotel was completely different from the Kempinski but very nice and had a lot more history to it . Please see review for this hotel on the Imperial site

This hotel is simply stunning, with a gorgeous lobby, excellent check-in process, and lovely rooms. We stayed a week at this hotel & couldn't be happier with our experience. The hotel breakfast was fantastic, with everything you could think of available. We stayed in a deluxe double room which was very large, with a nice entryway complete with a table & lamp, ample closet space, large comfortable bed, two seating areas (one sofa with table & another area with a small table, chair & lamp) plus a desk area. Of course there was a wide-screen TV and a very large bathroom with separate tub & shower areas.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 2nd floor.

We had a team even around the corner and were offered to stay overnight. What a fantastic place! Absolutely up to the usual, very appealing Kempinski standard. The lobby is probably the best about this hotel. Beautiful setting inside. Definitely worth to spend some time sitting in the lobby and enjoy. The room is fantastic as well. I had the lowest category which was still a league of its own compared to "usual" five star chains. The bathroom was huge, everything tidy up to perfection. Also, the breakfast was very enjoyable. Vienna city center (Stephansdom) is just a 10 Minute walk away and the hotel is right at the Ring, so the cab to the airport will be there in 20-25 minutes. Actually, the hotel is probably in the most quiet part of the first district, so perfect for a good rest.

Having chance to stop by for Breakfast only, but it was a great experience, as the place is truly Kempinski style and the Breakfast room called die Kuche ( the Kitchen) was exactly what the name promises regarding the style and the creativity. The architecture gets you, the way how they prepare the breakfast buffet is unique and something you would remember including choice of fresh juices even made from cucumber, pear or...Wide choice of coffee, lovely equipment, slicing machine for the ham etc. The service was rather poor but doesn`t count much at Breakfast buffet, where you serve yourself alone. We weren`t offered the kid`s chair, neither asked if we wish more coffee or something else, however it didn`t spoil our experience.

Even though centrally located I have to say there are hotels with an even better location. I know it is complaining on a high level, however in hotels such as the Sacher, Imperial or Bristol you have almost everything right next to you. However this place impresses with its staff, its splendor and the ability to make your stay a memorable one. It is one of the few places that makes it acceptable to walk to sights or other places.

Took my wife as a surprise birthday gift and was let down by the fact that the hotel car that I had booked to collect us from the airport failed to arrive.

To the credit of the management they stepped on this immediately and ensured that we were greeted and upgraded from our suite as well as providing dinner. This most most gracious and greatly appreciated.

The hotel is lovely. Really beautiful decor and the best breakfast in town for sure.

Thank you to Dieter BIschoff for your kind attention and to Tobias who took care of us at Edvard.

Room Tip: Suites at front a little noisy from traffic.

We stayed here for 3 days and the hotel was lovely. The service was very friendly and generally efficient, although checkin was delayed and maintenance checks weren't carried out as they should have been. This however didn't dampen our enthusiasm for the hotel. The rooms were lovely and the bathrooms gorgeous. The technology was great but didn't always work as it should have - touch panels for the shower were a bit fickle and the iPad that controls everything worked very slowly. The hotel is a little out of the way but there are two tram stops and a metro station within very easy walking distance. Lovely hotel and would definitely stay there again.
