I'm here in Vienna until the end of the summer and live a ten minute walk from this amazing train station. Not only can you get information and tickets and catch a train here but, on Sundays when almost all the markets are closed in Vienna, the Merkur market (grocery store ) is open for business. You'll have to check their hours. During the week, the mall-like design of this train station is aa very convenient one-stop shopping mall. There is a post office, large drug store, coffee shops, places to eat, a fruit store, a fish restaurant, a terrific Thalia bookstore with books in English and German and other languages, a news store with papers from many countries. An A1 cell phone store where you can purchase SIM cards and mobiles. For me it's been a real find.
