This hotel is absolutely perfect! It is located in the heart of Vienna and you can walk ANYWHERE. Staff is fantastic! They help you with everything. The room are super cool with great beds and open shower concept. We absolutely loved it. Breakfast is super yummy prepared by the chef to your taste.

Room Tip: We got breakfast to the room once (complimentary hotel service) and it was super cool to stay in and...

We stayed here for 3 nights and don't have a bad word to say about it. The room was lovely (we had rm 16) with a great bathroom and shower. If you're expecting a kingsize then it's two singles pushed together which was a shame but other than that it really was a great, comfortable room. The breakfasts were great too, and there is a little lounge downstairs that has lovely prosecco that you can help yourself to until 6pm with cakes and snacks which is a great little treat.

The location is fantastic with everything within easy walking distance.

Room Tip: Room 16 is close to reception which is a bit annoying when people start ringing the service bell at...

The many other reviewers who have given this hotel the top rating have said better then I can how wonderful this place is. In a world of same old same old (especially hotels and even when they are good), this place reminds you of the value of doing something differently and well. As others have said, it may not be for everyone, but it sure was for us.

The people are amazing - welcoming, helpful, funny.

Our room was perfect - minimalist design but with every comfort. The afternoon "tea" with bubbly and snacks (including quiche and amazing apple strudel) to be eaten in the little courtyard - awesome. We seriously overslept on this our last night (after a great dinner at the Hollmann Salon) so sadly we had to rush out before breakfast, but they made us beautiful cappuccinos to go as we ran to the train station.

So perfectly located - seconds from the Schwedenplatz Metro station getting to and from the airport by train, and a one minute walk from the centre of the old city - but still quiet.

I have reviewed many other hotels and given 5*s, but nothing compares to this for me, and this will now be my measure of a great hotel. There are so many little 'touches' that make this place great, and they add up to more than the sum of the parts.

Although a bit difficult to find, the Hollmann Beletage is extraordinary in its uniqueness, comfort, and service. Our room, #18, was immaculate and so comfortable, even in its minimalism. A chalkboard outside of each room welcomes the occupants in their native language. Throughout the hotel, be on the outlook for pops of their signature color-orange. We do not ever expect to enjoy another hotel breakfast as exceptional as that at the Hollmann Beletage...unless we return! Many reviewers have already given detailed comments of breakfast-and all are correct. Oliver greeted us each morning and after just one morning, we began to look forward to our chat with him as he asked about our previous day and what plans for that day were expected. Over the course of 5 mornings, we heard Oliver converse with guests of several nationalities in their native languages. Along with the deliciousness of the food, the presentation of each course is so well-thought-out and executed-and different each day-which is amazing in its own right. I cannot imagine how many different types of serving vessels Hollmann must stock! And Oliver is not the exception in impeccable service at the Hollmann. Everyone we encountered was most gracious, welcoming, and helpful. As others have remarked, location is perfect. If a return to Vienna is in our future, we would with absolutely no hesitation book again at the Hollmann. And as our travels continue, we will continue to compare any future hotel stays to the absolute lovliness and graciousness of the Hollmann Beletage.

From the exquisite breakfast to the expertly designed rooms, I could not ask for more in a hotel. The service was friendly without exception, the amenities unexpectedly awesome, the location excellent (quiet, yet in the middle of exactly where we wanted to be), the size perfectly small and did I mention the breakfast? This is a hotel that I could relax in for a few hours instead of sight-seeing - and that's saying a lot. Loved it!

The Hollmann Beletage hotel will not appeal to everyone. You'll find it under a simple orange awning, hidden on a quiet street, about 5 blocks from the main square of Stephansplatz. (Actually, our driver asked " is that really a hotel?") . After you walk down the shared entrance hallway and take the elevator up to the reception on the 2nd floor, you will find the small lobby and hotel to be oddly decorated with small stuffed birds.

The young man working the desk took us on a tour to visit three different types of available rooms and we paid a modest fee ( 10 euro per day) to select a different room. Hollman Beletage features a minimalist décor which means that you'll not find a lot of space for hanging coats or placing your luggage. Plus the walk-in shower is behind a glass plate so you can choose to totally be exposed to the room if you don't pull the red curtain. I found the shower itself, which is like a waterfall from the ceiling, to be odd but refreshing. Your sink and mirror may also play a prominent role in your room. It's funny how a minimalist room tends to collect clutter when you actually live in it because there is little space to store things.

Once you get used to these quirks, you'll find that you'll appreciate the amenities of the hotel. You'll find yourself within easy walking distance of most of the major sights of historic Vienna, plus there is a subway station less than 5 minutes away if you want to expand your adventures.

You'll find complementary prosecco and light snacks ( cheese, strudel, nuts, breads, or sandwiches) in a common area every afternoon; a small movie theatre which shows Orson Welles' "the third man" every night; a well stocked library featuring Vienna guide books, a spa including steam and dry heat ; and a common area off the lobby which has an assortment of hard liquors on an "honor system".

Many people comment on the extravagant breakfast at Hollman Beletage and it is all true. Unlike the buffet at most European hotels, you will find a small café atmosphere where a staff of 2-3 chefs will be making your food to order. You will start with juice, fruit, bread and a selection of cold cuts and cheese. Then you get to select from four hot breakfast items which may include wieners in goulash sauce, hot beef broth, traditional omelets, or their egg dish of the day. Then you can follow up with a crepe or a slice of strudel. We found that eating this breakfast gave us the energy to sight-see for 3-4 hours and have a pastry at one of Vienna's famous coffeehouses instead of eating lunch.

Our only complaint was that the slat bed squeaked each and every time we moved.

Room Tip: Take the opportunity to view a couple of different rooms at your check-in. Each of the 25 rooms is...

We have stayed already several times in this Hotel and we love to come back as often as possible.
The staff and and the atmosphere is wonderful.
The rooms are really cool and comfortable.
Right in the city center this is an oasis for to relax dive directly into the life of vienna.
Don't miss the breakfast since it is one of the best breakfast's you will get in a Hotel.
