The perfect snack, lunch, dinner, etc., Wiener Wurstl is a must-have in Vienna. Cheap and simple, they provide a wide variety of wieners/wursts to choose from. Stop by and have one...you won't be disappointed!

“Best Wurst”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2014

A casual walk-up eatery, dotting the Vienna landscape. For a few euros get a tasty sausage. mustard, and beer for a delicious snack. I recommend the Debreziner and Kasekrainer, but most everything seems good. Great place a have a quick snack particularly in the late evening hours.

“The Best Vienna Sausages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 October 2013

I grew up in the USA, and there, "Vienna Sausages" were disgusting and canned potted meat sticks, but Wiener Wurstl has incredible sausages!

“Perfect location, but fails on everything else”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 September 2013

Sausage stands are one of the Vienna's trademarks, and as such, they have certain traditions to follow. When in Vienna, these stands are something you definitely have to visit and to try what they have to offer - simple sausage-based meals for tired walkers or late night 'birds'.

Saying that, I tried quite a few of them. This particular one has a huge luck of being at perfect location, at the very heart of Vienna's downtown. This assures large number of customers, but instead of taking advantage of this fact, owner/employee of this sausage stand treats their customers in a very bad way - rude. Standing in a line few weeks ago, I noticed not-so-hygienic behavior of the person behind the counter. Namely, same wet kitchen towel is used for cleaning the counter, his hands, but also for door and shelves of this kiosk (!?). When I made remark about it, I was welcomed with 'some people are just spoiled' comment. At the same time, he tried to sell me something I have not ordered, which I - having some experience with sausage stands, and knowing what I am ordering - refused to accept. Another rude comment followed.

My colleague had similar experience just few days after me, which made me write this. He managed to get a hot dog, which was 'just average', according to him.

Anyway, only 50m away you can find another sausage stands, where you will be welcomed with much higher hygienic standards and a smile.

This place you can just simply avoid.
