“Checkin sleep fast and run”
Reviewed 30 August 2013 via mobile

We checked in at this hotel yesterday at 29.08.2013.
The garage was not easy to find, but with reachable easy if your pay attention.
The checkin was very fast easy.
The real surprise started when we pass the hallway: dirty, smelly and not cleaned at least in the last 5 years.
The room is rusty, but you can sleep for just one night.
The payment another known surprise: 79 + 28 + 24, meaning room for three adults and one kid, breakfest and parking.
At this amount I feel veeery sorry for booking this dirty hotel.
The breakfest: terrible. Better you go down to some coffee shop.
The only plus is that is 500m away from the palace.

At first glance it is what it is - a budget place. Person at reception when we arrived gave us a double room instead of triple, but instantly offered a triple when reminded that we we three! We did not like 3 single and requests that we be given a room with a double and a single bed, as booked. Again, he obliged. Not something you want to have to cope with after a long drive, but then the room we were given absolutely made up for it. Th location was excellent, within walking distance of the Schonbrun Palace. Eating places nearby, managed to eat well in two different place, a Hotel Otto and Cafe Doomayer (it sells the most divine Viennese pastries!). As breakfast was not included we decide to use a Baku just next to the hotel to pick up freshly made sandwiches and the best coffee. Hotel also offered discounted parking in car park that was easily accessible via hotel lift. All in all, would recommend it. Low in price but with very good facilities.

Room Tip: Room 421 if looking for a triple room

Hotel Ekazent is an average hotel in a sense that it has everything that you need for a comfortable stay but is a little outdated and oldfashioned. The location of this hotel is very good. Close to the local Metro station and variety of trams and buses nearby. The zoo is just round the corner as well.
The breakfasts in the hotel are also worth having at the hotel as they are priced well and are very good with an amazing view from the rooftop.
There is also a hotel parrot by the reception that is not noisy or of any nuisance. The bird is well looked after but shouldnt really be in a hotel.
Apart from that there weren´t any issues with our stay and the staff there were very helpfull.

Room Tip: Don´t choose a room at the top floor during hot weather as they overheat.

Cheap, decent, close to Schonbrunn. A liile difficult to find - occupies only levels 3 and 4 in a building. I did not try the breakfast.
Minimal service. Noisy guests. Noisy parrot (property of the hotel :)

We stayed here during our trip to Vienna. I originally booked this hotel based on the good price, free wifi, secure parking, and dogs being welcomed. The hotel is very close the public transportation and we were able to travel around the city with little effort. The hotel is also located almost across the street from the Schonbrunn palace. There are several restaurants, shops, and bakeries close by. On Sunday morning of our trip, there was even an antique market set up immediately after you walked out of the doors of the hotel.
The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable but definitely dated in appearance. There is a bird in the lobby that says hello. However, the bird did lay some "droppings" on the newspaper that was spread under it's location in the lobby. It was picked up every night. This may bother some. It was not that big of a deal to us.
My only complaint was that the wifi did not work in our room. I had to go down to the lobby to get any service. This was annoying as I had homework to do. But not the end of the world. Parking was a little steep at 20 euros a day. However, this seems to be the general price for most hotels that I researched in Vienna.
Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and would probably come back again, unless I got a better deal elsewhere. For only $104 for a two night stay (not including parking) I would say I got a good deal.

We stayed there for one night and it was OK. It's very close to Schonbrun park, only few minutes by foot. Easy to find if your coming by car. Garage is underneath the hotel, if you're lucky you can find free parking in the surounding area. Clean spacious rooms, although outdated. Free wi-fi in the rooms, the speed was quite good. Several bakeries, cafes and restaurants nearby and also a well stocked grocery store. Didn't try the breakfast though. All in all good value for money.

They have a living parrot at the reception as an attraction :)
