Honestly, don't know how this place isn't on the top of everyone's list. The amusement park itself needs some updating. But we came for the huge old Ferris wheel. It was like walking back in time. The cars on the Ferris wheel looked like rail cars from a train. A piece of history that is worth the ride. I believe the Ferris wheel was built in the 1800s. Amazing.

Had great fun for a few hours. Close to the center yet huge space. Took the children for a ride with the train around the park (through the trees and bushes). Walked around a bit and saw many rides (roller coaster etc) but could not try due to young age of children (under 6). Tried the bumper cars, which i haven't done for years now, and enjoyed a lot (the kids too ;)). Only had dessert and coffee, which i found quite expensive and not of good quality. I suppose its worth visiting once, especially if you have children over 10 years of age. Also worth visiting if you want to wander a bit in the park or have a quiet rest reading a book or just sitting below trees. There s things to do for families with younger children as well, but i think there s more at the Shonbrunn zoo.

I'm a 15 year old who has passed two hours of torture, all workers are mad, there is no respect for kids and teens that go by themselves, there is 13 attraction pass that is a dirty bussinnes, I realize that I only can use it for 8 games and the rest was only propaganda. As I said is a terrible experience all workers are grose. The only thing that was good was the food nothing more.

The Prater's ferris wheel has been in Vienna for ever! But that is only one of the attractions. There is a section with older rides and a large area with modern rides and experiences. I must admit that you really feel that all they want is your money. Our group went on a ride where you often ended up getting wet. When our drenched member stepped off the ride he was offered to dry off for 2 Euro! Everyone in my group had a good time (both kids and their parents). Seniors beware that it is very loud.

Toilets cost 50 cents; you can either pay for each ride or get a ticket for 13 rides. Entrance to the park is free.

Prater and pratersterne is the oldest amusement park in Europe and what we admire the best is that they are trying to keep it in that style for every new attraction.
you have lot's of new attractions sice we have visit prater before 15y but they are all shaped in old fashioned vienna attractions.
fun, meal, drink, adrenalin it's all there.
we stay there for a whole day, also visited madame tussauds museum which is placed just accros the prater weal.
only problem is that all attractions have separate payment, and they cost from 2,5-4,5€, which after whole day cost us more than 200€!!!
what was more than 2 day's ticket to legoland for the whole family and all 3 of us didn't go to all attractions, mostly was our dougher riding.
so it is pretty expencive and they should change it in a way, but after all we had a lots of fun.
people there are also very kind and we are not sorry for the money we spend ther :)
