As a student, the place was wonderful! I was travelling with family and the space was big enough for everyone to have their own privacy area (1 couple + a person). The colours and decorations definitely helps you to get you in the "holiday" mood. Everything that you need for cooking (if your are planning to cook for a few nights) is there and a dish washer (a bit small) but very useful!

There is WiFi in the entire flat, TV and DVD. However, If you are technology averse or still prefer paper maps to explore the city, there is a book which Barbara (the landlord) created. It has all the tourist places, coffee and meal restaurants with their bus number, train station and telephone number. I mean, it is amazing the amount of information you can find in that book!! Plus, she has maps in the flat which you can take and book guides. So, there is no way you can't get lost!

Environmentally friendly, really close to a train station and the town. Plus, Barbara as a really friendly, welcoming person and someone who couldn't help you more in finding your way in Vienna! What else do you need?

Had a great time staying in Vienna over Christmas-- the flat is very centrally located but the neighbourhood is not noisy, and the facilities are excellent. Barbara was also very helpful in getting us what we needed!

I had a glorious week at Stadtnest and highly recommend it to anyone who wishes an enjoyable stay in a lovely Viennese neighborhood. Barbara runs her small B&B with efficiency, attention to detail and consideration for her guests. She is a fount of knowledge about Vienna and is generous with her many books about the city.

This was our favorite place in our Europe trip. The location was close to a train station ubahns and trams. About a 10 minute walk with luggage. A bit confusing to orient at first but there is a map to help. There was a mix up with our reservation so we stayed at one of the apartments but had the excellent breakfast.
Pros: LOCATION:. It was so easy to get anywhere. Good restaurants close by with a shopping street close, yet in a quiet area of town.
ROOM: the apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a washing machine. Also kitchen seemed to have whatever you might need.
BREAKFAST : Organic foods, served from a choice for each guest including cheeses, meat, breads, rolls, and eggs cooked to order! YUM.
HOSPITALITY: This was the real highlight for me. Barbara bent over backwards to make sure we had whatever we needed, even calling to check on a tour for us. I loved the conversations we had giving insight to another window of the world. You can't get this from any hotel and makes traveling so meaningful.
Cons. NONE
Comments: If you are trying to decide between the B&B and apartment. I found the the time spent with Barbara and the delicious breakfast to far exceed any expectations. But if you are traveling with a group larger than 2 or staying an extended time the apartment is certainty worth considering.

Had the pleasure of staying with Barbara at Stadtnest just last week. The room was quite big and even had a loveseat which was a nice addition if you just wanted to lounge about a bit in the room. Barbara has done an extraordinary job of putting together a lot of useful information for visitors to Vienna. She was so helpful in pointing things out and making suggestions on places to visit.
Within walking distance to the Museum Quarter and beyond but if you prefer relying on PT, there is a U-bahn station close which will take you into the city centre.
In the morning, you can enjoy an organic breakfast prepared by Barbara. You just let her know what you would like the night before and she will prepare it for you the following morning.
If you have a car you will probably want to take advantage of the car garage located a couple blocks away. It's less than five minutes away on foot and costs 12 Euros per day.

I enjoyed three days in Vienna and look forward to a longer stay at Stadtnest the next time I'm in Vienna.
