“What a gem in the heart of Vienna!”
Reviewed 12 February 2014

The hotel is a little harder to find (because next door Starbucks sign is much brighter and bigger than the hotel), once you step into the hotel, wow, what a nice decor! (At least it is to my liking). The gentleman at the reception was so helpful, he was all by himself at night when we arrived, he helped me to bring the suitcase to my door, which wasn't his job. The room is colorful but nicely coordinated colors. A Nespresso machine is very useful for me.. The room is so so clean, the towel rack keeps the towel fresh and warm...too much to mention. If I ever come back to Vienna, I will stay here again. without hesitation. Walking distance to everything!

Hotel is small and private with very good service. Everywhere in the hotel you can find artpieces which make it very special. Room has all what needed: tea/coffee making facilities; TV with english news channels; safe; slippers and bathrobe; very comfortable beds; enough room for two incl luggages. Many shops on the same street, Starbucks and McDonalds few hundred meters down the street. Nearest metro station is 200 m and majority of the museums in 1 km radius. Also old town is within walking distance (appr 20 min walking).
I think that the title "Small Luxury hotel" sets expectations a bit too high. It's a very comfortable and nice hotel, but not especially luxury. Breakfast has very limited variety, though in addition to cold cuts also fried/scrambled eggs are provided. Air conditioning / ventilation were not working properly, so during the night there was no air left. Windows were soundproof, but facing busy street, so it wasn't an option to keep windows open.
Definitely would stay again.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are bigger, but the ones facing small street are quieter.

This smallish boutique hotel has a lot to offer. For those familiar with European sized bedrooms, it was normal sized, which is small by US standards. But bathroom was larger than many. There was a good single bed with down comforter, a mini-fridge, coffee service, complementary toiletries, a room safe, a TV with several English news channels, and free internet. The room was exceedingly clean.

Be aware that the elevator is also European sized, which is to say quaint and large enough for 2 pax and luggage, if they are well acquainted. The location is convenient to shopping, dining and some of the main museums.

They served a very good continental breakfast with eggs to order.

Room Tip: If you need a cab to/from the airport, ask them to arrange. You can charge it for a few Euro more, b...

we stayed here July2,2013 for 4 nights. at the last minute we added our 22 yr old son to the reservation. The hotel made accomodations for him in the room for a small added fee. Breakfasts were included as well as a Nespresso machine. The beds were very comfortable, room was very quiet, we were on the floor above the lobby. The bathroom was well appointed with a modern shower. Air conditioning was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. they were willing to make eggs to order, but we primarily enjoyed the buffet of cheeses, breads and fresh fruit. Cappuchino was served to order w/ a heart on top.Location can't be beat, one block of the ring. easy walk to transportation and Hapsburg palace area as well as most other sites. Safe neighborhood. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with directions and information, and was always friendly and spoke English very well as we unfortunately speak 3 words in German. She called a taxi for us just as requested so we would make our train to Melk on time. Room was always cleaned spotless and lovely candies were added to turn down service. It is a great boutique hotel. Loved it. thank you to the staff for making our stay in Vienna most enjoyable.

This hotel is in an ideal position for seeing the main tourist areas. It has lots of quirky art which adds interest. Although on the small side the bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. There was a good choice for breakfast with an excellent choice with the usual cereals, fresh fruit , meats, cheese, bread ,pastries . A variety of egg dishes could be cooked to order. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is on one of the main shopping streets so it is a busy area so there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. I would consider staying here again if we returned to Vienna.

I came back for the second time on business. It's probably some specific soap they use, but this place has a really distinctive smell that always makes me smile every time I walk in. I used airport transfer both directions, and it worked a charm.

Service at the front desk is available day and night, always with a smile. I turned up the first night and was able to book an hour in the sauna, which was just what I needed after a day of hunching over a laptop while travelling.

Breakfast continues to be fantastic, with a wide selection of fruit, nuts, pastries, bread, cheese, meats, and scrambled eggs/omelettes.

Note, if you're wanting to pay in advance there's a different setting on the website. Normally it just takes information, and not payment. It's important for business travellers. But even though I hadn't properly booked it in advance they were happy to speak to my company and sort out the credit card when I checked out.

There is absolutely nothing to criticize.

This is what a small luxury hotel should be like. Great room, quite in the middle of the city, a bottle of wine and a basket of fruit as a welcome, and a great breakfast. Special mention goes to Christoph at the front desk. From dealing with our mistake in booking to recommending a great local restaurant he handled it all smoothly and professional.

The location is fantastic: Turn left for shopping, right for all the historic sights. No car or taxi needed, its all in walking distance.
