“Lovely hotel!”

This was the perfect start to our vacation: very well situated, great breakfast, gracious bath amenities, and beautiful room in which you can sleep in silence due to double panes windows. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I hope to return!

The Das Tyrol is a classy little hotel in a perfect location. It is literally on a nice upscale shopping boulevard, within easy walking distance of the Museumsquartier, St. Stephens Cathedral, the Winter Palace, and the Naschmarkt. The rooms are definitely on the small side, but they are perfectly manageable and the original artwork and decor create a very pleasing and welcoming environment. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We love you Nadine!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at the Hotel das Tyrol. The hotel is a 20 minute walk to "downtown Vienna" shops and restaurants and various sites such as the Karlskirche, Stephans Platz and Stefanskirche, and just a slightly longer walk to the Sisi Museum. The hotel is a very short (5 minute) walk to the famous Naschmarkt. There are a couple of good dining options close to the hotel (within 5 minutes) including Pes.co (Italian) and the Palmenhaus. Our room was compact, but it was spacious in comparison with similar hotel locations in Paris and London. There was enough room in the closet for the contents of 3 large travel bags, desk and chair, bureau and coffee maker, reading chair and table, double bed. The bathroom was modern and immaculate. Robes and slippers provided. We don't usually use exercise facilities, so we didn't miss them in the hotel. However, we used the sauna/steam room (you can book it in advance, and it's private) twice and enjoyed it. The front desk was helpful in helping us select a restaurant and making reservations. This hotel would be our first choice if we travel to Vienna again: it was perfect.

We loved this boutique hotel. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable. The bed was dreamy after some of those we had slept in through Italy and France. Staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting things to do and places to eat. All their recommendations were excellent. We were only here for 2 nights, but would love to come back and send more time in this beautiful city. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for only two nights, but our stay was great. The hotel itself is beautiful and almost like an art museum. We loved our room as it was comfortable and the Wifi was strong. The breakfast was exceptionally good, and if you got hungry they would usually have a few snacks out in the lobby. The wellness center with sauna was definitely an added bonus that we took advantage of nightly! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay here again myself.

I've been 2 times and I like the hotel. Rooms, superior, is small therefore in 2 the space is very limited.
Breakfast could be improved, but nevertheless is good enough.
Not really in downtown and this could be a killer if you need an hotel, as I do, that does not require taxi, you have to walk around 15-20 min to get to Main Street.

Suggested.

Dear Alberto C,

Thank you very much for having taken the time to share the experience of your stay at Small Luxury Hotel Das Tyrol and for suggesing our hotel.

We are happy to read that you enjoyed our rooms and breakfast. We will review our breakfast and optimize where possible.

Regarding our location we would like to comment as follows: If you specify St. Stephen's Square, Kohlmarkt and Graben as „main street“ you are right: The distance from Das Tyrol to these areas is aproximately 1,7 km (1,056 miles) and 22 minutes walking. If you specify Ring Road (Burgring) as „main street“ like we do, the distance is 500 m (0,31 miles) and 7 minutes walking.

My team and I would be very happy to welcoming you back again to our Tyrol Hotel in the not too distant future.

Best regards from Vienna,

Helena Ramsbacher & her Tyrol Team

We stayed here with our family in June, 2014. We are a family of four with two teenagers and it was the perfect location. Lovely boutique hotel with great service, great location, great breakfasts and wonderful rooms. Short walking distance to most sights. Would stay here again when next we visit Vienna!

Room Tip: Would imagine all rooms are good since only 30 rooms here and the elevator is one of those lovely ol...
